Will classic have old weather setting?

Will Classic World of Warcraft have it’s original weather setting, Can we get this back, Such as rain and darkened skies at night, snow and such?

Good question. i remember weather being patched in, but dont remember what patch it was.

1.10 iirc, and it should be if they’re going with 1.12 So let’s hope!

I only played during vanilla and i remember when weather was patched in. It should be there

If you’re expecting most zones to be much darker than BfA at night, you’re going to be disappointed. Most zones in BfA are roughly as dark at night as they were in Vanilla.

Actually with Sweet FX you can change both of this, i’ve posted a few screenshots of it shading really does a lot as does lighting, it’s going to be sweet to have this handy gizmo this time around.

It’s more so an addon, it just adds in more shader bloom effects and so on, there’s a few videos and so on about it around the net if you’re curious since i can’t really do it justice myself. It’s for all versions of WoW as well.

The difference being from what I remember is, it’s much easier to see in BFA.

I was thinking that too. I just know when they added back in the darkness in Legion, it’s super dark compared to what it was, but still really visible, like everyone is a night elf. In Vanilla when it got dark, it got dark.

Depends on what zone you were in. Dun Morogh? Nope. Winterspring? Nope. Theramore? Yup.

Well, being an elf, I spent a lot of time in trees. And of course those places aren’t that dark. Snow is reflective as hell.

Should be the same as Vanilla. The weather and day/night effects are part of the client held art. They are using the client from 1.12 as a base so all the old art should be present.
