Being transparent assumes I am hiding my motivation when I can be more clearer that this request is at least partially motivated by Arthas(the other part being it is such a myopic view of the afterlife and I hate it will all the fibre of being)

I’m just not a fan of people wanting arthas to come back. Move the guy to a better afterlife and be done with it.
It’s the only reasonable retcon in my opinion

I don’t think anyone has ever said he should come back. I certainly haven’t. Most people however are pissed about the whole “may the last whisper of your name be forgotten”. Like she ruined what was an emotional scene for Anduin getting help from the spirits of Varian and Saurfang.
Again, my preference is have Sylvanas find a portion of his soul still remaining in the Maw. Give her the choice to either destroy it(thus breaking her charge and making sure all gets out of the Maw, thus possibly trapping her forever as well) or helping said soul escape. Thus proving everyone does deserve a second chance.
I already said I want him to stay dead. Just undo the soul deletion.
