Will Blizzard Give People Who Already Own Big Love Rocket Compensation For Name Change

Why would Big Love Rocket offend you?

What exactly about it is offensive to you?

I seriously want to know. No trolling. If there’s a good reason, I’d love to hear it, honestly.

It doesn’t. I never asked that they change it. Blizzard decided to do that all on their own, because they’re frantically purging anything that can establish a pattern of behavior in court.

I’m just perplexed as to why “Big Love Rocket” being named that was the hill that people want to die on. It’s such a non-issue. Especially the ones who try to get all dramatic about it saying that the value of the mount is somehow diminished. This post, though, the one that tried to twist out some convoluted reason why it was detrimental to lore and immersion if it was changed was just chef’s kiss levels of lunacy, though.

I seriously believe its just a small minority in game and out that want to mind control everyone in what they can do or say or eat …you see it everyday on the outside and now its in the game full force…reminds me of a book I read years ago called 1984.

I would farm that like crazy.

People are finally putting their foot down over this garbage and it’s about time.

Now they are censoring their own followers, and even they are like huh?

That Nicki girl who sang that WAP song is getting turned on for asking a question.

They will eat each other. It won’t be much longer before we get back to normalcy. Everyone’s sick of it.

If it doesn’t offend you, then why are you willing to die on the woke hill?

Let’s be honest, you’re all just upset you’re losing your sexual innuendo mount that you sit on all day in capital cities while making /say sexual innuendo jokes. Boy, bye.

Don’t respond I see it.

Women are allowed to make sexual innuendo jokes. As as are LGBTQ people.

Why can’t guys do the same?

You have an agenda and are skirting the question. You obviously support the change, but you can’t even explain why it’s offensive.

Also I’ve been playing this game for 16 years and have never witnessed what you just described.

Even if it happened, what does it have to do with you? Ignore them like they ignore you.

Yeah because the hill they chose to die on was just the love rocket name change and not every single woke performative action before this. Can’t wait for this fun casual fantasy game to get less fun and less fantasy, because real life and politics has to bleed into in order to coddle some people that can’t even deal with real life.

I’m going to assume that you’re blessed with little in the way of reading comprehension, so let me break this down for you in bite-sized chunks:

  • The name doesn’t bother me
  • I find it silly that other people care what the mount is named at all
  • I don’t think that Blizzard is doing this for “woke points”, I think that they’re trying to limit their legal liability in the several court cases that they have pending by trying to purge the game of anything even a little risque
  • Not everything is political, and not everything is a battle in a culture war
  • Trying to say that a mount being called a “Big Love Rocket” implies that it was created by an apothecary is a hilariously dumb stretch

Chonky we can only hope it does soon…cause I am so bloody tried of now…as for the mount I’ll still call it The Big Love Rocket…

Legal liability? Like you think they can just erase the past? It’s all over the internet. You are so disingenuous it is frankly disgusting.

It sure does sound like it bothers you with all your bullet points and stuff.

I actually have a Big Love Rocket, and I don’t care if it scares you.

And this brothers you how? You have some serious issues if that is where you mind falls when you see someone using the The Big Love Rocket.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Because I’m pointing out that Blizzard isn’t cleaning up dated, unimportant aspects of the game to appeal to any non-existent demands that they do so, but because they’re being sued up the wazoo by the State of California, the SEC and a labor rights group and they want to make sure that the game is squeaky clean before discovery happens?

I mean, hold on to your persecution complex like grim death if you wanna, but I’ve got no horse in this particular race.
