It’s a bit more popular there. I at least see the occasional SV hunter in PVP vs I have literally never seen one doing random dungeons.
There are currently more bm and mm hunters than sv in pvp.
If memory serves, 3.1 added the “…except Bestial Wrath” caveat to the Readiness tooltip. That was the biggest (justifiable) nerf.
Yes? I never said there wasn’t. All I said was it was a bit more popular there than PVE.
Okay. I thought your point was that it fell behind bm and mm in pve and only beat them in pvp.
Name is good mate 10/10
Na. The spec has very low representation across the board. I figured it prudent to mention since its toolkit is seemingly more popular in PVP vs PVE.
It’s mostly just sort of interesting to me as it’s a bit unusual.
They’re on the record for saying they knew they were creating a niche spec with the Legion changes. So there’s that.
There was a leak that they plan to go up to Wrath Classic then quit making classics, not sure how accurate the source is but it seems like a reasonable place to stop since those are technically the “Classics” with all the old systems.
That and it’s already obnoxious having 3 world of Warcrafts at this point that actively get worked on since #nochanges was a complete flop.
Would like less work on 10-15 year versions of the game they’ve had to recreate and a little more work on the awful tuning state of retail.
Blizzard will go with whatever makes them the most money, and currently it looks like TBC will bring back a LOT more people to play it for at least a month which is better than having all the people that are currently leaving retail.
Yeah I mean that’s hard to say. Could also argue it’s just splitting paying retail players across the board since it’s all on one monthly subscription.
The time and money going in to create them has to be up there as well. Hard to say without being an insider.
You’re right about the month or so part though. Classic proved that.
No one should be forced to play something they dont like. Blizz never should of made it melee if this was the result.
This is kind of a poor argument. Not sure where you are going with it. What you like is subjective and the game doesn’t revolve around you.
I’ve disliked many changes over the past 15 years, blizzard doesn’t owe me anything.
Now if you want to discuss about removal of any specs or the fact the niche Sv spec could have been made as an additional spec that’s a different topic.
Edit: you also aren’t forced into anything
Deleting a spec from thr game is never good game design. Ever. suv literally brings nothing to a group setting as far as utility goes. And majority of the hunter community feels the same. Not really a poor arguments its just facts. And if you wanna be competitive you are definitely forced to play it unless you wanna reroll
I feel like you don’t actually know what you are even saying. Since you have now since jumped onto a completely different argument.
I’m kind of confused by your reply, I don’t think I was saying people should be forced to play it, and I frequently make my distaste for the rework known a lot despite wanting the spec to get the attention it needs.
It definitely needs help. A rework some utility thats unique to the spec.
And I want my already good PvP spec to be made even better by indirect PvE buffs to single target. This is something I can get behind.
I really think a solution to most of these problems would be a change to our mastery. It’s a very uncreative mastery that only affects a small portion of our damage.
I’ve never understood mastery’s like this. I mean on paper it reads like it would be a good stat to have, but it’s never the case. Oh blizz…
