The video I posted above is a L61 monk I didn’t play much at all in SL. The scaling you see there is from SL honor/conquest gear only. However, I did verify that the DF world pvp gear scales as well with a L70.
I’m not able to test DF honor or conquest gear. The vendors are on the beta server but they are completely empty. And, even if they weren’t instanced pvp just doesn’t happen on the leveling servers.
Yeah. I get that. So, perhaps their plan is to have the WPVP set be the one that automatically scales in WM, while Honor/Conquest won’t, with the Conquest set being upgradeable via rating. This isn’t a bad solution - it’s not exactly elegant, but it’s not bad. I’d be fine with that. I mean, it’s a lot of different sets of gear, but this isn’t anything new to us “Old hat” PVP players.

I wouldn’t think it’ll be as big of a problem.
The issue was ilevel being gated by rating. So the boosters could just come in and wap all us garbage stuck in lower rating.
It made me quit, I ran into mutiple groups where one person ilevel was way above the rest.
And that group won almost every time in my experience.
I’m positive it won’t be as bad as it was in SL without the massive gear advantages and the addition of solo queue.
It’s still going to be a thing for sure though. You need ranking to upgrade the gear for PvE, expect people to boost for that along with the cosmetic rewards.
It wasn’t even bad in SL outside of Sinful.

Arena will likely be done in DF. It doesn’t work for this game anymore. With that said more ppl will be taking Raid/M+ boost for better optimized gear from there for PvP.
