Wildvine drop rate nerfed?

Been farming wildvine for months and months and months. quite some time now.
Up till a couple days ago (Tuesday, oddly enough) it has dropped at a fairly predictable rate. I now its RNG, so please dont bother with that, but even with that its ALWAYS dropped a certain amount over a certain number of nodes farmed.

Starting Tuesday, I havent gotten a single drop. Nothing. Not one.
Been going back thru the day over and again and so far, not a single wildvine has dropped.

Could be back luck…or something else?
Is there any way to get an honest answer out of them if they nerfed the drop rate or not?

Reason being is if they didnt, I’ll keep farming.
If they did nerf it, Im not wasting my time bothering.

when they trashed the drops for Blood stained bone that was it. wasnt worth the time and energy farming it anymore.
I dont want to waste my game time farming something that cant at least make it worth my effort.

How does one find out what theyve changed in old content?

Nothing has been changed recently at all. Unless it’s something undocumented, but we haven’t even had a patch in the past couple weeks.

Try farming the trolls instead of relying on purple lotus? The Skullsplitter Witch Doctors in Zul’Mamwe drop them at a roughly 10% droprate, iirc. Have to clear out the whole area of all Skullsplitters, because they can spawn in different spots. See if that’s any better for you.

Yeah…10% was what it ‘felt’ like with the lotus all these months.
then the last couple days, literally nothing.
Big thing on my end is just not wasting my time farming something they nerfed, which is the reason I wanted to know for certain.
Once they nerf crap it just isnt with the time investment anymore.

I had to check your post date, because I thought it was from 14 years ago.

People have always thought this, especially about Wildvine. It just has always been rare.

As a previous said, the “go to” way for getting it was killing the trolls. You could certainly be doing that besides herbing or whatever else. I don’t remember it ever being very good on the herb, if you were getting 10 percent you were just lucky.

I’m wondering how it is worth it anyway? People can’t be paying that much for it now?
