Despite its data being…suspect…it also lists FF as the most played with 2.50 million daily log ins.
But then you click on WoW and it’s 3.29 million daily log ins while also being separately tracked from WoW classic which has 1.46 million daily log ins.
So I’m also confused how 2.50 > 3.29 but whatever it’s fun.
That could explain the weird release date posted (2016, I remember playing Wildstar and then dumping it for SWTOR, definitely before WoD) but if that’s the case, this falls in the napkin math side of things, imo.
They already told you how they got their data, you pretty much contribute to the number if:
-If you’re talking about them on Social media or public forums.
-If you fill a public survey asking what MMO you’re playing.
-etc.
Private server?
Project Nexus Forever?
Their program scanning social media for active user data and coming up with false positives?
People saying “wildstar” when asked what MMO they play.
Pick your reason or make up a new one.
Blizzards official numbers says their playerbase is down so /shrug.
LOL that website is such a joke Notice the word “estimated” on every page and they have no source. It’s literally WoW chills putting WoW as #1 despite the fact that WoW is now 3 different games, and retail is the worst right now and the sudden numbers is TBC classic. An Destiny 2 at #2 with 1.6m players active? While FFXIV has 2.5m active players? yeah…no thats far from truth.
