First of, for those who don’t know, Gorribal is the name of the sword Sargerws plunged into silithus.
That sword has been a hot topic of discussion ever since the end of legion. Just recently, shortly after DF was revealed, Ion had an interview where someone asked about the future of Gorribal, to which he kinda laughed it off.
This implies that blizz most likely has huge plans for Gorribal. So what could be their end game with it?
Well here’s my two cents.
I think Azeroth will pull out Gorribal, king Arthur style, and use it as her own weapon.
But here’s the thing… The weapon is apparently a useless husk after we cleansed it with our artifacts at the end of Legion.
So how will Gorribal be empowered.
Azeroth could prob just empower it herself.
Or…
The six cosmic forces have been on the forefront of wow lore for a while now. A cosmic war is brewing where all forces will try to dominate the universe.
We have seen examples on how all forces operate when unchecked.
Life: gorgrond ok AU draenor
Light: the light bound / xera’s attempted domination of illidan
Death: The jailer and his shenanigans.
Void: old gods
Disorder: burning legion
Order: (DF spoilers) Odyn’s determination for absolute control in ordering azeroth.
But what happens when all 6 forces unite in Harmony?
What if the husk that is Gorribal will server as a vessel to house all 6 forces to be used by azeroth to combat whatever evil Zovaal warned us about?
How will it be empowered to begin with?
I think that 6 azerothian heroes will be chosen, who are each experienced in a specific force, and fill Gorribal with some of their power, similar to what the aspects did with the dragon soul.
So who will these heros be? Well if I’m not full of it, here’s who I think it’ll be…
Light: Turalyon
Void: Alleria
Life: Tyrande
Death: Sylvanas
Disorder: Illidan
Order: Jaina
Each will grant a portion of their power to Captain Planet our favorite titan.
