Widowbloom, unlike any of the other common herbs, only allows for 2-4 to be gathered per node. Aside from Nightshade the other herbs allow 3-6 per node. This is why Widowbloom is more expensive on the AH.
Another problem that is seemingly only coming from Revendreth is that the competing herb, Death Blossoms spawn value is much higher than it should be. I know this because I have 1684 Death Blossoms and 374 Widowbloom. This is a glaring problem with the spawn values.
the only problem is that people dont want to buy them from the AH…i have over 6k of them not selling.
I think it is glitched, because i was getting 5-7 herbs when i was leveling Herbalism on my alt but, when i maxed it, suddenly it dropped to 2-4, and i never got more than 5 herbs on any other node.
To be honest i dont remember getting more than 2-5 herbs at any point
I dont see anything wrong with an herb being valuable
When that herb is used in a large portion of potions required for raiding. The high valued herb should be nightshade…it isnt.
Having the same problem. I’ve been farming in Revendreth for almost a hour and got 40 widowblooms and 115 death blossom.
I buy them up (and use them) whenever they fall below 100g. If they’re over 100g I just don’t craft, period. The time invested is not worth the bonus of a flask otherwise.
I can play fine without flasks, flasks just give me showier numbers in Details.
I run in revendreth for 45 minutes with maybe 10 widowbloom. I said screw this, i went to ah and bought 100 of them . Herbalist buying herb. Great.

No, i am grinding stupid dailies (which gives 2k gold per calling) with 2 characters. I play on and off for 5 years now, i never bought gold,but i used in game gold for token to sub for 1 month. 
I think the gold nerf has speculators buying up too many mats trying to make up the difference, not realizing that the gold nerf also means other people don’t have tons of gold to spend, anymore because they cannot farm it with shuffles and old raids.
Yes you can see the problem when you check wowhead and see that widowbloom is a reagent for 10 things, most of which consume a lot of widowbloom, but nightshade is a reagent for less, and not as much nightshade is required for those things.
Its not unusual to see widowbloom selling for a slightly higher price than nightshade. At the moment theyre kinda close, but nightshade tends to dip down (or get crashed) more than widowbloom.
Herbs and the dependent markets make no sense this expansion.
They are crazy expensive and everything I could make from them is selling for less than the mats.
Throw them on the AH with a 5gold discount. They’ll go quick.
