Why You Don't Play That Class

Tell why you dont play the classes you dont play.

I personally dont like “combo” points/resource managment classes
-Rogues (combo points) -Monks (chi points) -Death Knights (runes)
-Feral (combo points)

Shaman i want to play but all I want it to be is an elemental mage but it feels clunky and weak and i dont like that you need to rely on buffing everything or pet managment

Druid in my opinion astral is not druid. Nature is Druid. I want a Nature/Forest spells Dps spec and I want to play it in my characters form. Turning into a form in my opinion should be a lust thing only.

Also this may sound really lazy but i do not like playing classes like unholy dk where everything i do is to apply festering wounds. I like classes like Fury Warrior and Fire/frost Mages where all my spells are mostly just damage attack spells that flow together.

Paladin, “LIGHT” is just not my fantasy thing man

Ill never heal so that obviously cuts out specs/classes

If they class has crap transmogs then my feels for that class are totally killed

As good as I am at Frost mage it made me sick of seeing everything BLUE BLUE BLUE BLUE and i hate the cold in irl

Hunter tried to get into a couple times but it doesnt feel “serious” if that makes sense. And all spell images on bar just make me think im leveling in vanilla for some reason. Survival and Beast Master need to attack spells that fluent with each other

Ok im done. Its Ugly. It may not make sense to you. It may get me roasted. But im sitting here wanting fantasy play with excitement and its not there for me so I want to blab/rant. Thanks.

I have 1 120 for all 12 classes but I don’t really like my Druid for some reason.
Cat Druids seem a bit complicated to me. Balance doesn’t appeal to me either.

Any caster. I don’t like the whole caster/magic theme. I would say “ranged” in general, but I do enjoy Hunter.

I actually play all classes, though some more than others of course. Ive got a bunch of death knights at max level, but the only class ive never maxed was a shaman. Ive got nothing against shaman, I just cant stay interested in them enough to keep playing them.

But as for things I dont play, warrior tanks and healers that arent blood dks. I just cant figure out healers and can only heal myself.

The quick answer is “Because I haven’t got around to it”
I have surprised myself with how much I like frost dk and vengence dh.
Going to try and get a monk and a warlock to max this patch.

While I do play DK, I don’t really like how it has a cyclical effect of spend runes, gain runic power, spend runic power, gain runes, etc.
I don’t really like to play priest because I don’t really dig the void thing, or warlock because I don’t find waiting for something to die from that thing I did ten seconds ago all that fun.

I totally hear you about combo points. I’ll probably never play such a class/spec.

I don’t play other classes anymore cuz they’re not Vengeance DHs.

I guess when you really like a class you lose interest in others. Have tried plenty of others but I like Paladin the most.

Classes I have at 120 but don’t play:

  • Druid: I actually do like both Feral and Bear for this class. There’s a build I have in mind by haven’t gotten around to do it.

  • Warlock: Love it while going up. The buildup while getting ready for my chaos bolt feels nice, as well as nuking things from the same spot. At cap I just don’t feel it, feels boring having DPS tied around infernal windows.

  • Monk: actually deleted my monk out of frustration. Dungeons up to M6 were fine but as a class I hate how lacking we are in sustain. Brewmaster was more enjoyable but I also don’t want to be just a tank.

  • Death Knight: In my to-do list. Loved it while I was playing it on Horde, but now that I’m full Alliance I’ve yet to get into it again. Particularly interested in Void Elf DK. Those eyes work so well.

I don’t like the idea of Priests being based on Sanity, of all things. Unless I want to heal, they’ll be the last class I roll. Everything else I’m willing to try. I haven’t made a DH or Monk yet, so those are next on my list…right behind getting my Mechagnome Warrior up to speed.

I need my healing crutch. I think the only class I’ve played that couldn’t heal was hunter.

I’ve tried the others and just can’t get into it.

First I’ll say I don’t care for healing or tanking, so that limits some things, but not THAT much.
I have tried priests and druids over the years and can never seem to get them past 40. I struggled with mage and shaman as well in the past, but boosted a mage I really enjoy and I’ve pushed myself leveling a DiD shaman and it’s not so bad once you get to 60(except for the zones you have to level in).
I have also struggled with warlock in the past, but my undead is now at 73 and my belf is 35, both of which i’ll eventually level, especially for that sweet Legion class mount.

I’ll probably use the SL boost for my LFD priest, nightborne priest or my KT druid, just not sure which yet and that will be the tough decision. Had considered making a HM tauren druid too, but can’t afford to boost with my own money, so free boost it is and can only pick one. /shrug

This but I don’t like standing still to do damage.

Warlock, Death Knight, Demon Hunters because I don’t enjoy being evil, edge-lord cases. Priests also fit into this category because I’m not a healer, and the only choice is shadow.

Warrior seems too clunky for me.

Monks I have yet to get into and the hang of.

Druids, Mage and Hunters are 50/50, I’ll enjoying playing one, but at the same time not enjoy playing one.

Outlaw Rogue, Elementalist Shaman, Protection Paladin are my three favorite spec and classes how ever. The skill rotation flow is nice in all of them and I like their themes.

I don’t play a Bard. Kitty has no thumbs.

For the longest time I refused to play a rogue, because to me it didnt seem to fit well in a fantasy world full of magic… now i play on as my horde main.

Warrior was another one i used to hate due to fantasy… i have 2 now

Not so much “why I don’t play that class” as “why I don’t play that spec”

Retribution Paladin - back in cataclysm I found myself forced to play this godawful spec called retribution just to do normal questing because someone thought it was a great idea to remove all combat abilities from holy Paladins… it took me over a month to figure out the damn rotation so that I wouldn’t run out of mana and could keep my holy power rolling enough to actually attack… That experience has soured me to the spec ever since…

Feral Druid - where to start… should I start with having zero character identity? I mean seriously, I play an MMO with character customization, and you ask me to play a spec that says “your customization means nothing”… hard pass… but wait it doesn’t stop there… not only does my character customization mean jack diddly squat as feral, but I’m giving up my customization to basically play an entirely different class instead… if I want feral’s play style I can just go play Rogue.

Guardian Druid - see feral… replace rogue with warrior…

Affliction Warlock - DoT… DoT… DoT… wait… DoT… DoT… DoT… wait… I would like something more engaging than this… it is boring and tedious… two things that you never want to combine ever… like seriously I didn’t even think it was possible to make a class in a game that was both boring an tedious, let alone one that could cause boredom induced headaches while playing…

Arms Warrior - great big two handed weapon melee build… awesome… just charge in and kill things with overwhelming power right? Wrong! It is more like corpse run simulator… damage is abysmal, heavy armor means jack apparently, it’s only self heal is unusable in actual combat unless you talent for it, and even then you lack the damage mitigation to survive it’s cool down.

Fury Warrior - Alright, so Arms clearly fell flat on its face… but maybe doubling your ability to wield massive two handed weapons will double your power and make you an actual force to be reckoned with… and… corpse running again… turns out you still lack any semblance of survivability… also, “requires two handed weapons” really ticks me off when I find some great one handed weapons that I’d love to use for transmog… who’s bright idea was it to make titans grip not only baseline but a core requirement of the spec?

Balance Druid - I loved this spec for the better part of WoW’s life… I even suffered through its many awkward incarnations because I wanted to see it be as awesome as it could be… but despite all of that… it became quite clear during Legion and persists into BfA that unless you had the exact perfect gear with all the right procs and bonuses, you would always be out damaged by Restoration… WTF! Why does the healing spec have higher baseline damage and scale better in general than the DPS spec? Seriously WTF blizzard!

Assassination Rogue - … … … DoT… … … ok I thought Affliction was tedious… now let’s add combo points into that same tedium… and put you in melee… with a weak HoT for a self heal that has a long CD… oh and swap mana for focus… as if you didn’t have enough to manage…

Outlaw Rogue - Can I just have Combat Rogue back? No? Fine… I’ll try this new thing… don’t get me wrong… I love the flavor and lore for outlaw… it is certainly more of a rogue spec than combat was from a lore and flavor perspective… but mechanically… it is a hot mess… there is far too much RNG to this spec to be realistically reliable… you might get a 10 second streak of fantastic luck when the stars align and everything dies as you turn foes into sliced Swiss cheese or you may get 90 seconds of rotten luck and become a walking pincushion… assuming you live for the full 90 seconds…

Holy Priest - when it comes to group content I almost always play a healer in one form of another… but this one… I have never wanted to pull my hair out more as a healer than when trying to play a Holy priest… it doesn’t matter what I do, I have tried following guides everything… people die faster than I can heal them as this horrible spec… I can play a Discipline Priest like it’s nothing though and rarely see people dying… the only other healer that ever made me want to pull my hair out was Mistweaver monk but I would rather play a Mistweaver monk for a solid year non stop than ever play a Holy priest again…

Havoc Demon Hunter - unlike everything else on this list, I actually have nothing against this spec… I just prefer Vengeance is all…

I should start playing warlock in shadowlands, just for portal, there’s always no warlocks

Because I can’t be a blood elf druid, yet.

This game is World of Meleecraft. There’s also items called Glory of the Melee. So I play melee.
