For those who don’t follow others blindly. Those who only attain what they desire. And don’t care about every battle pet, mount, and transmog that exists. The not so overly ambitious for claiming the “highest rewards and achievements”. An arbitrary set of goals.
I like the game’s story. Makes me cry sometimes. I like my characters, I feel unique often. I tried other MMO’s thinking the grass was more green. It wasn’t. WoW does It the best. And now I get to watch everyone throw a toddler tantrum, and know I’m not joining them. After years of playing. I finally have my casual gear progression I always wanted. Y’all will come back home when It starts to rain and get cold, and your cardboard boxes are soaked.
WoW is king. FFXIV is king. Hello Kitty Sunshine Island is king. Marvel is king. DC is king.
But only Elvis is The King.
Besides that, if you love what you love it will always be the king to you. But game journalists and Youtubers have to bring in the ad revenue some how and what better way then pitting franchises against each other in a genre that’s lost its luster to MOBAs and mobile games.
I just still don’t get the FF hype. The game look really bland with no diversity or originality. It is just so cringe to see all those youtuber who never gave a crap about that game ( many of them tried it and didn’t like it back then) all of sudden love that game just after it became popular…
I saw a view youtuber being like ‘’ ok i am trying FF14 again and i am having a blast!!!’’ or crap like that. Clearly they didn’t care and still don’t care about the game, they only play what bring them more viewer.
I guess our emotional status is much different because this game has made me close to crying only once. It was Varians death and Vol’jins. But everything else, I was rushing to finish the quest and move on to the next zone.
I have spoken the truth and you fail to understand. So the way I see It, calling me out as being cringe for being honest. Is kind of telling of maturity.
There’s been a couple more, plus a couple in the books (I assure you rare occurrences for me)…but, yeah I know on the rest of it
There used to be a balance - well, as good as could get for a chair with 4 legs sitting at one of those round, off balance tables; the ones you dare not cup your head in chin and lean your elbow on…lol
Things change…either they keep on this current trajectory, which many players will be happy about and stay, or they balance.
I’m guessing their bean counters are, as we speak, figuring out which direction makes them more money. As much as I wish it was for love of the game, it comes down to the bottom line number.
