believe it or not I was 40 honor level at the start of shadowlands
COVID led to an unbelievable amount of bgs for me lol (College went online)
I also know joker and dean (number one and two) just do a lot of bgs

if you are in warmode your gear scales to its pvp rating soon as you fight someone, and resets to the pve level when questing.
Heâs referring to people who did the pvp dailies on like 10 toons in wod and gained a bunch of honor level
Most of those people stopped after/at 500 and just winning random bgs was always faster
Honor level was introduced in WoD? I thought it was a BFA thing?
I think weâre both wrong
Legion?
I didnât pvp till shadowlands really
I got gladiator in bfa with my M+ friends doing turbo lol (why I have the achiev)
Joker tries to explain it to me when people accuse him of it, Iâm just like âyea cool no way itâs better than just winning randomsâ
And he always goes: YEP EXACTLY PEOPLE HAVE LITERALLY 0 IDEA WHAT THEYâRE TALKING ABOUT
Yo same.
Except Classic really got me hooked on it. Different beasts though.
I was playing classic with my partner when it launched
She got ganked, I went to go save her and I got polymorphed for 4 minutes straight and tbagged because I couldnt trinket sheep?
Then I tried to raid and got kicked for pulling to much hps and kept ripping the boss
I see the appeal itâs just not for me lol (Iâve played a lot of old school runescape)
It was Legion.
I donât think it was really an exploit.
Later in the expansion, Blizzard decided to make honor levels account-wide. So, they combined all your toonsâ honor levels.
Players didnât know Blizzard was going to do that, so this change really benefited those who had been doing PvP dailies on many alts. They jumped way ahead of everyone else. It was unfortunate for the people who focused on one toon.
Technically honor level as it is now was indeed a BFA thing, it was prestige in Legion but they didnât like that system and converted existing prestige levels (there were 25) into honor levels in the new system. People definitely had a good head start if they even just did PvP world quests on alts in Legion because they combined the prestige from all of your characters.
Yup! I left in MoP and came back in BFA and had to start from square 1.
If I play more, I should be able to obtain better gear and have an advantage over others that dont play as much. Its a reward for time spent. Gear in PVP should 100% be a thing. Its so easy to get max pvp ilvl anyways and people still complain about getting crushed.
Skill should matter more than gear. You SHOULD be mastering your class by playing more. But there are still some people out there with 500 hours into a class still rolling their faces on their keyboard and not using their defensives.
Large gear gaps make players complacent. Complacent players get a dose of reality when the gear gap is no longer there.
how are you still only double digit honor level after all that time?
I guess we could make PvP just a comparison of time /played. The toon that has spent more time in WoW wins the battle.
If itâs so easy to get, then just give it. We wouldnât have to deal with bgs where victory highly correlates with which team has fewer ungeared players.
I only came back in BFA for a season. SL 2 seasons. Now 2 seasons of DF
Just had a 30-39 BG with a child show up with 5k HP
he was MISSING 3 pieces of gear:
NO SHOULDERS⌠MISSING RING⌠MISSING TRINKETâŚ
he also had three pieces of start zone gear:
HEAD i-lvl 13
NECK i-lvl 19
CLOAK i-lvl 10
This is why WoW PvP is so terrible
Not going down the low-level bg rabbit hole again. Iâm done saying my piece on PVP because Blizz has no interest, or whoever hands out the budget has no interest at that end of the game.
thatâsâŚlow level pvp.
Elitists exist at every level.
