Why would you nerf the rep grind?

Here I am thinking I’ll do on Tuesday or Monday night cuz weekends are busy for me at work. And then you just nerf the rep grind and I missed out cuz I didn’t do it in the first 6 days???

Bruh what are you doing. Stop the cap. People were finally happy for once with the game and you just had to f it up.

The answer is simple. They need you to play more often. Nerfing rep makes that happen.

Whats next? M0s will drop 359 & heroics drop 343?

Blizzard hates us

How much of a nerf?

Or increases token sales because people who don’t want to grind the rep will buy it on the AH… I like my conspiracy theory better.

There is probably truth in both since both are things that the development team gets rated on and you know they will want their bonuses.

I think attributing this to any real motivation is misplaced.

Much more likely that Blizzard simply had no idea the respawn was so fast. Or maybe they just didn’t know the quest turn-ins were repeatable.

What nerf?

the wrathion/sabellion rep farm spawn rate has been drastically reduced.

lesson for next patch/expansion: watch whatever people are doing and do it IMMEDIATELY

That goes for every release. Exploit early, exploit often, as the saying goes.

All of Blizzard’s “we want people to take their time with this launch instead of rush” didn’t amount to a hill of beans.

Oh I see.

There was a 2x4 farm in the basement I’m sure going around the zone won’t be as bad.

I barely did the 2x4 farm we flew around up top and did it.

I mean if it isn’t feasible to do in a couple of days it just means people won’t do it.

It’s not a big enough reward to justify even the 6 hours it took before the nerf. People only do it because the season hasn’t started.

This just means less things to do.

that’s exactly it. i think the lava mammoth is cool and could see myself working on it a bit at a time over a month or two. now? forget it.

Rep grind is literally the current content if you so will.
Of course they nerf it if it goes too fast.

I just did it for the cosmetics but that farm had a MASSIVE gold tie in with it.

Like if you 2x4 farmed there easily 100k gold per hour if you min maxxed it. I’m surprised it wasn’t nerfed earlier TBH.

I’ve been finding this grind pretty tedious and I did the Talbuk mount rep grind 3 separate times in BC because I loved those mounts so much (this was before collections). I’m really not looking forward to this being even slower now.

I mean, the nerf would be fine if there were actually interesting things to do for it in the first place. Grinding mobs over and over is awful.

Options (not requirements) are needed:

  1. Grind mobs
  2. Dailies
  3. World Quests
  4. Mini-Campaign
  5. Pop up events like the hunts
  6. Assault on Dragonbane Keep
  7. PVP Event/BG/(idk I don’t pvp) thing where you kill the opposite dragon’s players
  8. Rare mobs
  9. Ultra rare mobs
  10. Something with professions - Turn in things for rep
  11. Bounty hunt weekly on a Wrathion/Sabellion baddie that you have to track down by questioning associates and killing them to get to the ultimate bounty.

Joke’s on them, I log in on my own schedule no matter what they do. If I don’t feel like playing I don’t.

More people should do the same IMO.

The signets will just scale up in cost because of the reduced spawn.
