Why would anyone come back to WoW in 9.1?

Genuinely curious what 9.1 has to offer someone who loves unrated PvP and to play multiple classes?

atm 9.1 is offering nothing good for unrated players. its still a ways away so a lot of people are still holding out for blizz to come back with a fix before the patch drops, but if not then expect a further population crash. 9.1 is make or break for this expac and atm, its falling towards break.

Wishful thinking.

Lets hope they do something worthwhile for the pvp communities.

Anything they might do that would help PvP as a whole would be helpful for PvP communities. Except maybe the ones that feed off selling RMT carries.

Honestly?

Watching the dumpster fire go nuclear?

I have my popcorn ready.

Once the devs are done collecting their data for 9.1 they are going to need a lot time to medicate themselves into a slumber. :beers:

Literally nothing and in some aspects making stuff worse

The closest positive thing I can say is that with flying and some QoL changes if that person also enjoys some casual PVE then it will get easier to accomplish that in between BG queues.

Otherwise absolutely nothing. If anything gear disparity is going to get worse.

My guess is that situation will be a little better, but not too much. People will need to win at a rating weekly to keep upgrading gear, and it’s gonna weed out some folks. Plus they plan to look at MMR distribution. Plus PvE crowd is not going to be doing a lot of PvP this time around and it might be harder for some to shoot up in rating.

It’s gonna be interesting to see.

9.0 already weeded me out

I think further weeding will not help.

Maybe there will be less carries? Or will there be even more because people will have to keep getting carries to maintain rating to get gear…

Not sure but I will be playing WoW regardless :upside_down_face:

You guys are being so negative! Here are a few benefits:

  1. Your lack of gear for the entire 8 month season will only further push you into being a more skilled player in order to succeed! This is good and healthy for the game and you!
  2. You get to brush shoulders with the real players of this game who play rated, which might even inspire you to be better yourself!
  3. From the point above, you’ll realize how shameful it is to be a casual. What were you thinking, just trying to log on and enjoy some even and good-spirited combat? What, do you have other responsibilities in life that keep you from playing more WoW? Do you not enjoy talking to strangers to get gear and be the best you can be? SHAME ON YOU!
  1. Alts are the best! Not only do you get to play a storyline and do dungeons you’ve done before and feel great doing PvP while doing it, but once you get max level, you get to deal with points 1-3 ALL OVER AGAIN ISNT THAT GREAT!?

Come back? We’re all still here!

honestly all carry selling needs to be banned, people on reddit are saying they are making over $100 an hour selling carries and they are booked weeks out. they get away with it by doing an initial gold transfer. the buyer will pay upfront with a token’s worth of gold to create plausible deniability, then they will pay real money per hour on the side. if blizz asks, everyone points at the gold transfer as proof it wasn’t done for real money.

Yeah I meant that it will weed out geared people ranks, but yeah that’s true for me as well

I did quit, blizzard doesnt seem to want casual bg players anymore. Came back for a bit to try classic and maybe some 50s since i still have gear there

yeah pretty much this

they didn’t read the patch notes and are hoping it has gotten better because anything other than that would be baffling design choices

doubt they will last long unless they chase the pve stuff for a while

as for ‘anyone’ if they had fun in 9.1 and quit after hitting their grind wall on one character they will definitely be back for some more fun

especially as a matchmaking only kind of player you can hit your grind wall in under 2 months because bliz capped it so low

The issue with PvP seems to be that the devs appear to feel that weeding out everyone but players who do rated is what would be best for PvP.
