Why were Dinars removed quietly from next patch?

What is even this? WHY?
We told you we liked that system, you were about implement it fairly…so what is the reason to get rid of a system that we like when you STILL have garbage loot sources repeating the same slot/item over and over again?

RESPECT …
OUR…
TIME…

that’s all.

Besides this though, dinars are very likely coming back somewhere. We just don’t know where right now. But we’ll get to see it in-game live tomorrow.

I don’t follow Twitter or wowhead or… well I mostly use the forums. So I am the last to hear. I only find out about things after sufficient forum uproar.

Stop being so quiet Blizzard and say it to my face!

gurl, have several seats.

Dinars make loot easier to obtain when you have piss-poor bad luck protection systems that just dont work.

How many guilds NEVER saw the Axe from Fyrakk even at like week 10?

How many times does the “complete 4 mythics for a heroic raid piece” give you the same item each time or the same slot each time?

How many times did the “complete 5 timewalking slog dungeons” give you the same item or the same slot each time?

How many times does the vault decide (esp. after week 4 or 5) – to just recycle the same 3 items every week even though there are 28 items across the loot tables to possibly give you?

Dinars smooth crap like this out. There is still work required to get them upgraded to the appropriate level which is fair given their ease to obtain (the crests they require to upgrade to where they need to be is pretty high as it is).

Not putting in a better system like this IS NOT respecting our time. Not sure how you dont see that. Granted, the original “place” they were going to put them was silly. But I think they should DEFINITELY be a thing EVERY season starting week 4 or 5 --this means that they are available after RWF is over but not so late in the season that they are worthless.

A much easier way of getting reliable news without the memes and outrage baiting would be to just go to Wowhead and read the blue post updates. The “news” that folks create tons of uproar about on these forums is most of the time just folks being outraged because they chose to be outraged.

Games do not have to respect your time, ever, that is the nature of things. You have to respect your time.

I’m guessing that having it on the Renown track would make it so that your alts would be entitled to Dinars regardless of how much they progressed in the Raid. Probably not what they intended.

When it’s reintroduced I’m betting it will depend more on specific progression per character.

its worth checking out wowhead for wow related news every now and again to stay better informed. willfully going “no blizzard should have to do this” and then just not utilizing those resources is not a stance or position that will earn you much sympathy

“Respecting player’s time” refer to things that are necessary timesinks. Torghast ashes acquisition, Artifact Power acquisition, etc.

Respecting player’s time has ZERO bearing on the actual gearing process because we already have multiple avenues of how to get confirmed gear (for an example, crafted gear with crests). Dinars are entirely pointless in this regard.

Not putting in a system per definition cannot be a way we evaluate things. They didn’t put in a “free max gear immediately upon entering the game”-button, so by your logic (since you are also attributing this to the gearing process) … literally everything that isn’t that button is NOT respecting player’s time.

So no, your take on this is at best insane. Furthermore, it gets even more insane when the likelihood of us getting dinars is still very high due to the statements that they have made. Which means that your outrage over all of this is unwarranted until you have definitive evidence that on the live servers we aren’t getting this system that was promised to us.

… like I said, your entire post is at best categorically insane at this point. When you quite literally agree with me by saying this as well since you acknowledge that where we had seen them put them made no sense. Which means that with Blizzard saying it, with us as players saying it, and you as the guy being outraged about it recognizing it…

Your thread is at best insanely pointless.
Have a good day.

Are you really that out of touch?

The dinar system was only in place because of a rotating empowered raid.

They even said that type of system isn’t going to take place in a real season.

They actually had it on the PTR. So they have put it into the game, but it is quite far down the list so this is when all of the progression raiding is effectively done, at least as far as the system seemed to imply how the Raid-Renown track would function.

So we are likely getting something, just not the thing or the way the guy is talking about. From what it looks like it might be something that could potentially replace getting the crest-thingy for when you get AotC or any of the other achievements.

We’ll just have to see what they go live with, if anything, on the patch tomorrow is all.

Actually the opposite people didn’t like the dinars being locked behind the rep renown

I do love it when people overconfidently state a complete falsehood. Especially when they begin with such an ironic turn of phrase: “Are you really that out of touch?” said the out of touch guy to the other guy.

It’s also not the exact same thing as it was rep based and you didn’t get them early.

Very true.

Yep. You do a good job of it.

I’m not the one out of touch cupcake.

Old news and they are still planned later in 11.1 somewhere. Calm your skivvies.

I’m insane for feeling disrepected by ALL the loot scenarios I just named in an earlier post that the dinar system essentially band-aids?

I’m insane for not being the ONLY person who was upset they did this? check the comments in wowhead about this when it was announced by them that dinars were silently removed in the last rc release of the patch.

You’re arguing to argue at this point. Enjoy the echo chamber.

And sorry sendryn, I have a life outside the game and only noticed this today when I checked the patch notes

This system should be permanently in the game.
I even suggested the best way to implement it would be to start after RWF, you get one every other week (maybe the “off” week to the catalyst charge) and it takes 3 to get a piece and that piece starts at essentially LFR level and has to be crested up to mythic.
You’d never get enough to fully gear yourself out, you’d get enough to get two pieces of BiS that you never saw from the vault or from the raid…etc. It’s not game breaking.

Dude. Seriously. Relax. They’re just moving out of the Raid Renown track. Geebus.
