I’m in one part of Bastion, heading to another. Because there are so few flight points and no flight whistle, it was actually quicker to port to Dalaran, then to Orgrimmar, then to Oribos, they take a fp to where I wanted to be than get there by navigating Bastion.
Frankly, a Dalaran hearthstone from Legion is just about the most important item you can have for world content in Shadowlands.
Too late for a flight whistle and we’ll have flight in roughly 6mos anyway. Be more concerned with how our flight will be restricted to inner-zones only and why we’ll have to still use taxis for the in-between.
I would really like it if they’d put a portal to-and-back from your covenant and oribos. I’m still scared to ride through oribos after getting dropped into the abyss and ending up dead in westfall.
No, the content update is likely sooner, but flight will undoubtedly be locked behind timegated renown level, so I’m adding a few weeks after patch drops, before we actually have flight.
Honestly I just want them to give us a SL version of the damned flight whistle. In Bastion and especially the Z-axis sadism that is Revendreth, I find myself frequently using the “hearth -> Oribos -> flight back to the zone I was in” loop just because the terrain is so frustratingly annoying to navigate.
I’ve never wanted flight so early and so badly in an expansion. It’s like the guy designing Bastion and Revendreth turned to the guy who created Nazjatar and was like, “lol nice labyrinthine zone layout bro, now hold my beer.”
It feels just as bad as when I started playing again when Naz was out, and every person was zooming around flying while I was grounded for a good month+.
Again, not what I meant. I said flight in 6mos, altho I guess 5 would be better guess. Patch less than that, but time gated renown until we unlock flight…
