I really don’t know what Blizzard is doing for real , do they have somebody in charge for the communication ?
With Riot , you can @ League of legends balancing team , and they will answer sometimes , but Blizzard there is nothing

Blizzard: “Player power is not attached to the Cypher system.”
What some players hear: “Player power is not attached to ALL OF ZERETH MORTIS AND ALL THE NEW CONTENT IN 9.2.”
If there’s an error in communication, it’s that people aren’t listening well.
Blizzard has had 17 years now, since 2004, to truly presume that it’s design plans and ideas are the ONLY way WoW should be developed.
Blizzard doesn’t even have a real plan. They likely never did.
EVERY single idea Blizzard comes up with for WoW ends up in the game.
For the love of WoW, Blizzard can’t even figure out their own design paradigm to keep their bad ideas out of the game. They just throw ALL of their ideas in and see what sticks.
And, then, after all their stinkers land, they don’t even change their forward projections on game design to try to avoid the bad ones anymore…
Why would they answer if people aren’t going to listen to them anyway and they’re just going to hear what they want to hear?
The logical assumption based upon the magic show they were presenting was that at least the major rep was going to be the thing that impacted the gateways/checkpoints of the cypher system. You know something like the deaths of chromie scenario. Get X level of rep and then you can research a new talent/progress on a new cypher tree or go down to the next rank on a same cypher tree. Which would have been the timegate in place to prevent people from working too fast even if they had the currency.
But it is what it is. If people hate it they’ll now doubt likely push up the 9.2.5 patch or hotfix in quicker progress earlier on.
Blizzard also failed to mention that there would be player power tied to rep in Zereth Mortis by way of the 2nd Leg needing Revered rep.
It’s a two way street.
Is Blizzard supposed to tell YOU about every little thing in the new patch?
Yes cause they have to convince people that the product is something people want. This assumption people will play regardless cause of addiction is degrading.
They’re as low as a used car salesman from the movies.
I’m A player.
I’d rather they tell ALL players at large.
Blizzard PR is less skilled than the actual test of Chimpanzees given typewriters.
Please, by all means, go look it up.
They do lack pr. This was pretty clear… this isnt one of those bad communication times.
I usually side with community vs blizzard but i cant this time
And they can do that without telling you every little thing that the patch has to offer.
If they revealed everything it would kill off any sense of wonder or exploration.
no, they could keep some secrets but if they tell that via an interview, they should post about that on official channels.
An assumption that doesn’t seem to be correct from everything I’ve read about the system.
To both the thread and the current discussion, Blizzard is apparently NOT able to convey meaningfully what they intend with any given content feature.
ESPECIALLY within Shadowlands.
Even if the new zone is nice and all, the story doesn’t even seem to know why we’re actually IN the Shadowlands. We’re… mostly just THERE.
I mean, sure, Sylvanas broke the Crown of Domination. However, why? Sure, Zovaal, however does he have any real motivation other than just being this expansion’s Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain blatantly?
Because what’s turned SL’s off the most to me is Danuser’s inability to invest me as a player, through my characters, into the story as presented and played throughout SL’s.
I have ONE 60. I don’t WANT anymore!
You don’t have to play SL content in order to reach 60. And the same could be said during bfa. Leveled up so many characters in timewalking back then to avoid the nonsense of 110-120.
Ugh, wish I had known that sooner.
Blizzard truly dropped the ball with both BFA and SL.
I took a sabbatical until 8.2 onwards. Game got really good then at least for a main’s worth of progression for a thing that I wanted (azeroth’s champion title after getting 11 rank 4 essences). I failed getting my last one cause I didn’t get 2400 in pvp but the experience was still fun.
In SL, nothing like that exists and my guild died. Just soulless things left now. Although the leveling revamp was good, it didn’t need to take an expansion in order to deliver the changes could have been a 8.3 feature, with the level squish coming later.
I honestly think the level squish is just Blizzard choosing to be lazy again and not work.
Instead of taking the time to actually balance all Races, Classes, Spec’s, item level and gear ratings, so that the game can improve long term, they just never actually do a very real part of their jobs and get the game to a point that more and more “evergreen” content can be made.
And they don’t even ever seem to grasp how many sub’s there’d be if they would just do their actual jobs company wise.
Real balance. A single, coherent, fun and experienced story, one that does not lose the player along the way, a metastory, from Vanilla to SL.
Nope.
Blizzard just does the bare minimum. No real effort whatsoever. Ever.
They say to leave feedback on these forums. But you get moderated and even forum ban if you make @blizzard post because it’s against ToS. Food for thought.
Of course it’s bad PR. They should have made some kind of reply or clarification when this started blowing up.
That’s what a good PR team would have done.
Maybe they shouldn’t have laid off so many customer service types, or CM’s.
