Why was layering turned off again?

They already have the software solution, layering.

Eagerly need layers back so I can play the game… not like a slave to my computer.

The software is already there just stop trying to get ppl to transfer to your small sever it won’t happen.

Layering isn’t compatible for the AQ event.

Except AQ isn’t out yet.

i just want to play the game, i honestly don’t understand why they thought it was a good idea to turn layering off and re-enabled new char creation after just a few weeks. i’m actually really surprised they kept paid char transfers disabled tho.

Blizzard is turning off layering in preparation for AQ.

Right, they should probably do that when it’s actually out. This is a really weird, completely irrelevant defense of Blizzard’s bad decisions.

In the meantime they can ban the botters and raise the player cap too.

Even still on the “mega” servers silithus will crash with 10k ppl going down there.

They are giving people a chance to move before P5 starts.

Except maybe 5% of people - none bots or multiboxers, mind you - will move. The rest will stay, and this won’t affect anything. It also makes Blizzard money, which feeds into the idea they’re doing it intentionally.

lol yeah right.

Enjoy your queues then, because they will only get worse.

Again you are asking ppl to leave what they have invested into this is not a logical option.

Yeah, this is exactly why these threads are being made. So stop brown nosing.

Insisting on staying on a server that is bursting at the seams is not logical.

Suggesting people just accept Blizzard’s lack of dialogue and continued lack of response to the issues that are causing these queues, and pay real money to move their characters away from the server they started with on day one, is not logical either.

Considering we don’t even have a tentative release date for AQ this is a non issue right now.

And this was blizzards mistake from the beginning I’ve been on whitemane since the release of classic even when the server wasn’t “full” yet blizzard in their infinite wisdom kept the servers open and paid transfers. Pushing the population over a sustainable size and never trying to fix the problem just offering “free transfers”. Now the players on whitemane are invested into the server and it’s blizzard who have to remedy the situation they put us into, it’s not up to the players to fix blizzards mistakes.

And most of those medium population servers are going to slowly going to become low population as everyone jumps ship to realms with more raiding guilds and dungeon groups.
