Why Warriors can't use Warglaives

We can use the Warglaives of Azzinoth, why we can’t use the weapons classified as such? WHY BLIZZ?

Because they’re so obviously dangerous to the person using them, you’d have to be blind to think swinging them around was a good idea in the first place.

I guess being able to use every other weapon in the game, besides wands, isn’t enough for you.

I am on the same boat with you bud, both warriors and rogues used them but wish we can use them now or at least the transmog for it.

Yeah but they’re the iconic weapon for Night Elves, so why can’t I use a glaive then?

On a more serious note, any item that is restricted in use to just one class has got to be problematic from a development standpoint. With that tight a restriction, how to you manage drops? Crafting? Only a tiny fraction of your players will ever find it useful, how much effort do you put into it?

This isn’t just warglaives, though they’re the worst offender. Ranged weapons in general are useless to all but hunters, and have been for a long time. Broadening their use only makes such things more valuable to the game as a whole.

I thought one of the selling points of warriors is that the could use ANY weapon? Or was that too old school.

Honestly, I don’t have a good solution. You’ve nailed the possible options, and you’re right, neither one is particularly good. Just one more way WoW’s painted itself into a corner.

I wouldn’t mind if more classes could equip warglaives as more of them would translate into more transmog options.
