Would you rather they made the 40th new druid shapeshifting form? I would take warlock any day of the week
Are you asking why they opened up warlocks to all races? They aren’t the first class that they did this with. Warriors, Hunters, Monks, Rogues, Priests, and Mages all were opened before Warlocks.

I feel like the only races that shouldn’t be warlock are Nelf, Draenei, LF and Mag’har
I don’t see the issue with the rest of them

Fair enough. I was just wondering why Warlock over other classes. I wasn’t aware they’d done it with other classes too.
Older class, a lot of interest, might be the easiest one to do it.
Give them time, I’m sure the will eventually get around to whatever one you want.

now nobody can make an excuse that necromancers can’t be on the horde/alliance.
Nobody cares about the lore so let’s get some new classes ASAP. Bards, Necros, Amazons, etc. 
The remaining classes have a lot of assets that are unique depending on race. Totems, paladin mounts, druid forms. They need to make new ones for each race, so they’re doing the easier classes first that don’t have many unique assets. Warlock was the last of the easy ones I think.

We now have 7/13 classes open to all races, soon to be 8 and will likely keep going with maybe the exceptions of DH and Evoker.
Nelfs and Draenei make sense. It’s just LF and Mag’har which are a bit of a stretch. Unless LF Draenie’s demons are lightforged as well (like that Dreadlord in Legion).

I guess with the demon customizations they are adding in 10.1.5 it is entirely possible that that could be an option.
Because Warlocks require the least amount of lore rewrites to make work.

that is still corrupting the orcs
I think they’re trying to tackle a story for opening Warlock and offering to customize imp. So far, the new warlock questline is rough.

Very True, And for Draenei look at those in AU Draenor who became a part of the burning legion. It’s not out of the picture.
For Paladin its a surprise many races aren’t already one such as Kul’Tirans and Regular Trolls. Probably the hardest race to allow for a Paladin is the Undead (because it would cause immense pain because paladins channel the light through themselves) and probably would only happen if they added a Lightforged Undead option.
Shamans there isn’t really any reason why all races aren’t shamans.
Druids the only race that will be an issue is Mechagnomes because they have mechanical parts so shapeshifting will be difficult unless they aren’t truly shapeshifting but have an Ironman like suit that transforms into different forms like a mechanical kitten, bear cub, small fish, baby dear, and baby moonkin.

Yes, because druid and paladin will take time to create forms and mounts.
So I’m guessing the pattern is to release the classes that you can just plug in first.

With that logic Shaman Totems will probably be the easiest and likely next then. With druids last assuming they don’t add Demon Hunters or Evokers to every race.
