Why Warbands?

What’s the point of warbands if I have to complete the campaign on all my toons. At least we got a cool character screen though…

You dont have to. You gain nothing. You can literally level up through dungeons from 71-80 if you want. The renown and such are all shared

Let me clarify - what’s the point of warbands if I have to complete the campaign on all of my toons that are 80.

It’s a different way of saying “account-wide”. I like them.

What makes you think you need to do the campaign more than once?

Ill clarify. You don’t.

I didn’t need to do the campaign more than once. I leveled once through the campaign and then spammed dungeons for other characters; once I hit 80 I told Brann I didn’t want to do stuff I already did before and he said no problem.
One of Blizzard’s better decisions, really.

You don’t. I completed the campaign on my main, then immediately when I log on an alt I hit the scroll to silithus, turn it in, and then skip everything and end up in Dornogal. 2-4 hours of dungeons later I’m 80, and I can talk to Brann and skip everything else.

You do. If you’ve completed the earthen race side quests on a toon, and completed the campaign on a main - you need to do the campaign again.

How do you get to that part of it?

My hunter is still holding his gun as if he has a bow drawn instead.

At least he actually has the gun somewhat floating between his hands though. I suppose it’s better than the air-bow he was previously holding with the gun on his back.

Baby steps I guess.

At the top of the character list, I think you can click on any of the 4 in that group and it will bring up the warband screen. Either that or you click on the warband banner o the same screen, i forget lol

I was being sarcastic. As in “it’s not that cool actually.”

I appreciate a genuinely helpful reply though. Thank you for being that kinda person.

My alts just did the Dalaran skip and went into adventure mode. I ain’t doing the main story again right away, side quests and delves for them.

Non-sequitor.

This doesn’t even make sense.

Why do you feel you have to do the campaign again? What can you not do on your new alt 80?

You don’t bro. The quests are there for xp if you want. You can skip the Dal piece and at 80 your alt has the option to complete the campaign via skip.

I like the way they sit around the campfire, and the way the one you select to play stands up getting ready to go. Fun stuff. Reminds me of the deer hunting camps I sat in all my life. And “other” camps too.

you’re either doing the campaign, or the side quests - about the same amount of time

And an account wide bank, a currency transfer system, account wide achievements and exploration and renown, and transmog appearances regardless of class, but yeah it’s totally just a cool login screen.

Once you’ve completed the main quest once, when you get an alt to 80 there’s an option to skip the leveling campaign and it auto completes it for you. Similar to Threads of Fate from Shadowlands, but only doable at 80 as opposed to while leveling.

So no, you don’t have to do the MSQ again if you don’t want to.

(Not sure if there will be a skip for the max level campaign after completing it once, tho)

I hate your mog. Entirely because I don’t have it.

Just helping balance your expectations to reality. I bet you’re actually a cool person.

Still hate your mog. And you. Someday I will have it, and I’ll take all this back.

Until then guess what? I hate you.

Have a good day!
