Why Vulpera popular but Worgen aren't?

They shouldn’t be cute. And they actually toned down their fierceness to the point where they don’t even have what made them cool to begin with.

And this is what I’m vehemently against. They already turned my angry ferocious werewolf that had a great loping animation into some cartoon bouncy thing. Get rid of the hunch and give tails and they might as well just be a golden retriever. It’s horrible to me what they’ve done to Worgen so far and what people want to turn them into.

They could have given the most beautiful tail with a bow accent option.

Vulpera are cute, and they have tails.

I think you can probably imagine the appeal in the idea of a tiny fox mage.

Worgen are still cool IMO but it’s a harder sell. A concept that I never liked was the obligation to enter combat in Worgen form - does casting a frost bolt cause so much anger that you need to transform? IMO maybe the racial damage bonuses should have been tied to the form (aka the 1 crit) and you could choose to permanently keep it on or activate when you desire like Genn does and like the actual Worgen story implies you do, once you’re with the Nelves you’re meant to be in control.

Worgen look awesome as a fury warrior and pretty good in a dress.

I figure it’s just the anti Alliance bias the player base has. Ever since Blood Elf, alliance has been outmatched in recruiting.

Vulpera are popular? News to me.

I love the make camp racial on Vulpera.
I have some Worgen but their racial just isnt as useful as Dark Iron dwarves Mole Machine.

I see them more than I do Worgen, but that doesnt mean much.

Yeah, it doesn’t mean anything. Both Worgen and Vulpera are unpopular races.

agreed.
I was thinking more that my view of the game population is so narrow compared to seeing the entire game community. There might be other realms that have a lot more of both races and I just dont see it.

The following list is dated back before the current Dragonflight expansion, but it’s still a decent indicator of racial popularity:

  1. Blood Elf - 20.06%
  2. Night Elf - 9.43%
  3. Orc - 9.35%
  4. Human - 9.22%
  5. Troll - 5.93%
  6. Tauren - 5.49%
  7. Undead - 4.69%
  8. Zandalari Troll - 4.54%
  9. Void Elf - 3.82%
  10. Vulpera - 3.43%
  11. Pandaren - 2.89%
  12. Draenei - 2.61%
  13. Mag’har Orc - 2.31%
  14. Nightborne - 2.20%
  15. Worgen - 2.07%
  16. Goblin - 2.06%
  17. Highmountain Tauren - 1.86%
  18. Dwarf - 1.77%
  19. Dark Iron Dwarf - 1.70%
  20. Gnome - 1.55%
  21. Lightforged Draenei - 1.26%
  22. Kul Tiran - 1.08%
  23. Mechagnome - 0.68%

It seems we Vulpera managed to just eek into the top ten. Not bad for being ‘unpopular’.

Vulpera are cute and don’t have goofy posture.

I like my Worgen, though. :dracthyr_heart:

It’s hard to get a chiropractor when saving the world all the time.

There are only a handful of helms that look good on a worgen. So sad.

:frowning:

No vulpera has looked this good in a hat:

If you boop a snoot on vulpera = cute
On worgen, you might get bitten and turned into the worgen version of your race

:dragon: :ocean: :dragon: :ocean:

Plus, the front flips really help their case.

A decent number of us note in our TRP the number of consecutive flips we’ve successfully made. I saw one claim 13, but I’ve only managed 9.

I wish I liked Pandaren more, because the food buff racial for Battlegrounds (doubling the 10% HP buff to 20%) is actually amazing.
