Why upgrading rating in pvp is useless 0rating is same with 2400 rating

hi i want to know why blizzard remove upgrading ilevel pvp in arena if there is no different between me in 2.4 rating and the guy with 1.2 rating why we pushing there is no fun no reward so many pvp streamers leave the game cause of this if you dont feel me its like in mythic 0 you recive items like mythic +20 ppl just drop rating and stay in 1.4 mmr to get easy gear farm and when you queue the game in 2k mmr you should wait alot to see some ppl playing there

Because most people agreed that we’d prefer to avoid having player power tied to rating.

Even if some of us think it really wasn’t that bad. :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Well, for pvp there’s plenty of neato cosmetics behind higher ratings. I can understand wanting to be ilev/power driven, but we tried that in Shadowlands and a lot of people blamed that for their inability to progress.

we have same thing in mythic + and where is the all pve players cry for this and now no one join pvp its like totaly pvp is dead no point of pushing ratings go check how many people push in shadowlands and how many push in whole dragonflight they want to ply 1 day in pvp and push 2.1 no this is not gonna happened same thing for me if i want to push to mythic +20 i should die to get it i didnt had a chance to kill mythic fyrak i failed and now they cant event push 2.4 like shadowlands same thing and now pvp is dead

I really do think that players yearn for the grind.

i play pvp in this community when i had 18 years old im 32 now and my son playing pvp really there is no rival ppl just farm their gear in low rating and leave the pvp behind no one trying to push up maybe only end of the season to collect their elite transmog in 1800 and bye bye

Has to be a troll post.

The problem with wow pvp is more fundamental. It’s mostly focused on “instanced” pvp to create a sense of fairness.

What we really need is a separate continent where pvp is enabled 100% of the time and player decisions have consequences over the direction the island takes including how the graphics change over time.

Having said that, I think the original poster is trolling.

Yeah, rival is a big dropoff. People want their set, see that the illusion isn’t great, that elite/glad is too far away and just stop there, and that’s a bit of a shame.

Especially when most of it is shuffle which doesn’t really involve other people.

Great, keep us posted.

im playing pvp every day like 6 hours and this is my opinion anyone agreed with me ?

It would be great if you just stopped saying anything.

Sounds like you don’t need ilvl bonuses to incentivize you to play?

I have never liked ilvl disparity in PvP. PvP is about competition and should be 100% skill based. Not too many successful PvP games out there where better players are given an advantage at the start of a match so that they can beat up newbs easier.

Pretty dumb idea honestly.

It was honestly kind of cool in Shadowlands. :dracthyr_yay_animated: Incentive to bg for honor was also neat.

Honestly not really. Probably my least time played PvP wise of any expansion ever.

I don’t really need incentive? I kinda enjoy them. Thankfully blitz is pretty decent so I’m looking forward to that in tww.

damn you a real clown you want to get more ilvl because you 2k4 to be more powerful than some people in 1k4 lol , the real reward in pvp is all the title + glad mount + tabard you really crying for ilvl man wake up

I like a grind. I like a long grind. I grind out my conquest gear via random/epic conquest wins in solo Q. It takes a long time across 10 or so toons and I never get it completely done, esp with the solo Q win ratio. This means I always have some gear upgrade waiting for me.

I think some people like max gear as it makes winning easier. This is true. But I also get a nice feeling when I take 'em down in my mostly not conquest gear. That doesn’t always happen, but it does sometimes happen.

Anyway, yes, some of us like nice long grinds. And I get that some don’t and that is fine too. I purposely choose to make my path harder, simply because it draws out the satisifaction of playing longer…well, until the next season and then go again.

So, pvp is fun, it’s mostly what I do, but it is more fun when I eventually get a gear upgrade.

I’m generally all for having gear be equalized in rated PVP content, but there seem to be at least some players that want the feeling of player power progression. I think it’s possible to have both, by having gear available at higher ratings that is technically higher powered, but is not meaningfully so.

Essentially, everyone would have equalized gear, however, if you hit certain rating marks, you can get gear that looks cool and gives maybe +1 iLevel worth of power (or no greater than +1% total player power). If two equally skilled players fought each other over the course of 10+ games, you should not be able to tell who has the better gear (rather, normal variations in the game, such as latency, luck, crits should be a bigger factor in the outcome rather than the gear disparity). I actually think this would satisfy most people.

He obviously want this back to push 2k4 in 2s and start farming low in rated blitz to fast xp rating that really not fair, pvp should be equal for everyone , so pvp have to be the same ilvl max for everyone

Because if you can’t beat 1400 players with equal gear, then you aren’t the better player.
