Was no tuning in ptr either. The things that were broken in PTR were broken on patch and are still broken today.

DKs defensives are in the gutter. Their defense is just heavy offensive pressure. And I doubt it’ll be a 5% nerf to VP, it’ll be a 50% across the board since they swing the bat at DKs. Once they nerf their dmg it’ll be bottom of the barrel class. They also have a gazillion modifiers. 20% dmg increase from UA, 10% increase in shadow dmg from death rot, 6% increase dmg from morb, strength increase from rune mastery and festermight and if you’re below 35% hp 20% dmg increase. So if they stack all those combined its going to hit like a truck.
God i hate this excuse “oh they dont have no defensives” dawg THEY DO. Grip-DS is a defensive and their icebound is a defensive, anti magic is a defensive, their insane 70% perm slow is a defensive. Dks are just dumb and blow them all just to output offensive pressure and cry when they lose cause they blown all their defensives at the very start.
Maybs if dks LOST defensives theyll wise up and not waste what they got
Biggest thing that needs a nerf is unholy assault. Wild that they just decided that dk gets a 20% damage buff on burst this season. Prob has to be reduced to 10% at least. Because Unholy assault into apoc into doomburst death coil is too disgusting.
Dks always complain their defensives suck but when was the last time someone queued something non ret/warr jg or mage lock and thought “oh good a dk free kill”
The “zerg down warlock” tactic and they icebound the first stun LMFAO and yell at healer why they died
mmm yes, IBF which everyone will still train you through. AMS which is good for about the first minute of the match before dampening takes over and makes it a paper. 70% slow is good against few classes who cant teleport around the map or constantly freedom themselves.
Sure freedom isnt cool but that slow gives you ENOUGH time to hide behind a pillar for free heals.

Id argue fear is more powerful on the off chance you can cause one of them to run the opposite way of their team and possibly LOS them. And plenty of classes will still fight through your 8 sec IBF. Rarely have I seen people swap off as many classes do just as much oppressive dmg as DKs. And once DKs are on their backfoot its easy to run them down. For the first few minutes of the game you can use AMS to negate a tiny portion of these casters damage before they plow through it but after the times up its pretty much only good for not going screwed in CC chains.

This only happens if you get a sudden doom proc which usually happens once every 5 melee attacks or 15-18 seconds. And target also has to be below 35% to benefit from reaping.
DKs hit hard but there are certain conditions need to be made in order for that to happen.
I don’t know man DKs damage is high but it’s easier to peel DK of.
Take assa rogue his dmg is as good but has a lot more utility

they retuned our damage, our burst got nerfed and our main abilities buffed, seems to be working right.
AMS is so heavily nerfed that its not really smart to use it as a defensive, instead you want to use it to prevent being cc’d through your go. same with IBF. if you are facing a melee comp you take bloodforged armor, but otherwise your life is entirely in the hands of your healer and the strat is to just keep the pressure on the other team, if they get the leg up on you, you are done for, DS just isn’t there and your defensives won’t stop their go.
not trying to be that guy but did you try disarming the dk during burst window?
Death Strike is garbage, heavily nerfed and effected by dampening, anti-magic shell is useless after the first few minutes because shocker, its nerfed and effected by dampening, Icebound Fortitude saves no one. All DK defensives are used to immune/prevent CCs, not to actually protect yourself.

If ur abundance of chromosomes can hit 1800 on dk ever then its overtuned af
