The bleeding edge, how does P2 cater to them. How does classic wow cater to them. They could release all content on Tuesday and that still wouldn’t change how progression works for 90% of the community. Guilds raiding naxx, still went back and did mc/ony/bwl/zg/aq20/40 because gear is still relevant. The power spike from pre-bis blues to Naxx is only 30ilvls. We all know in classic ilvl doesn’t mean anything its all about stat itemization. Hence why guilds farm old content.
This is my concern as well.
I also think they should be fixing stuff, instead of rushing out more phases. I guess they’ll dump all the content in soon so they can “set it and forget it.”
Lets say they released all content Tuesday, it still wont change how things play out. You will still have to do mc/ony/zg for gear to get to bwl. While raiding bwl you still will do mc/ony for t2 head and pants. Long gaps between raid you might respec to farm hk’s/bgs. Being that gear doesn’t drop as much. Ya you might try to attempt aq20/40 then hit walls. Need more gear and nature resistance. Now your back running bwl or to round out your gear/farming NR gear. I think we see where this is going. Also 99% of us will not clear a raid in 1st week, 95% 2nd week, 90% 3rd week. so on. So slow down breath its going to be ok. Im ok with the set and forget mentality because it wont change the way i play the game.
Then why did they break things out into separate phases if the phases don’t affect anything?
If you aren’t 60 yet then you really are either garbage at leveling, are actively using your in game time to do random and extremely unproductive things (mailbox dancing?), or are not willing to commit even a hobby level of time to the game. Things shouldn’t be based around those types just as much as they shouldn’t be based around super hardcore speed levelers.
And people really need to stop equating any level 60 raiding MC with the private server speed runners. They were done with all content 7 weeks ago. Most other 60s seem to have been done about 2-3 weeks ago.
I’m not, because there are still a lot of bugs and stuff. It probably won’t change the way that I play the game much either, except for it “dying” sooner. I wanted it to stay as lively as possible for as long as possible. Oh well. Guess I should start getting ready for BC right now.
It was the compromise for the people who whined for progressive patches. And like most good compromises no one is really happy with it.
Maybe in your sphere of no life nerds and kids.
We are like 70 days into classic. At 6.5 days (speed levelers are <5 and slow levelers are >7) as an average you would need less than 2.5 hours a day. You have 168 hours a week and lets say 60 hours for sleep and 50 for work leaving 58 hours for other things.
If you can’t spare less than a third of free time for your personal hobby then idk what to say. Make a lifestyle change. If you have less than 10% of your life to spend on personal hobby then that is pretty depressing.
At 6.5 days (speed levelers are <5 and slow levelers are >7)
Do you have a source for this?
Most the people I’ve talked to say anything around 6days played, is fast. You either did some dungeon spamming or something else but it wasn’t an “organic” leveling.
If you can get to 60 in under 200 hours, that’s still efficient. Anything over 10days and that’s slow. Sources, I’ve been asking everyone… literally…
Lol if you spend 1/3 of your time outside of sleep/work playing this game, I feel bad for you…
I’m talking about people with average lives so the majority of the player base has barely hit 60. Classic is 10 weeks old. The average player is more likely going to take 8 days played give or take. Thats 192 hours. Which is obviously 19 hours a week. So 2.5 hour - 3 hours every day. Whoever is able to commit 3 hours every day of their lives to a single hobby is a no lifer other then wow or a kid with no responsibilites. Including young 20s / teens with a job but nothing else going on or just jobless.

I wasn’t aware there was some magical formula for what people should be doing with their leisure time.
QQ moar.

No…
more** because it was mid-statement and not the beginning of a sentence, a person, place or thing.
Happy? Now go use your English degree in a productive fashion by helping the youth of the world who you clearly so vehemently loath.
Bye now.
It’s a problem wheb it effects health, others or your ability to function properly. Aka poor, unfit, loner, neglectful etc.
People there is a difference between making time for a hobby and having a problem. If your ready for phase 2 your in the later
And if you can’t spend more than 10% of your entire life doing things that you enjoy then I feel bad for you. For a lot of people playing this game, that enjoyable thing is WoW.
If you are not one of those people who likes playing WoW enough to use your hobby time on it then why in the world should we base the game around you?
I want then to stick to the initial content release schedule, just play on a pserver with bgs until phase 3. Some of us don’t only play wow.
I hope you dont have kids or a partner. If you do I feel bad for them. You really should get some help because the amount of game play time that you think is normal is in fact very excessive.
Well no, other people are just able to manage their time better than you and have sufficient leisure time.
