They’re going to be in a slight pickle here. Going on the time line currently both Shadowlands and Naxx are geared up for being released late next year. You would think they would release Naxx first to get Classic out of the way for players to try Shadowlands.
If they rush Naxx, they just might lose a larger player base overall with how rushed the game feels not only on Retail but on our poor Classic too. If they delay Shadowlands… well they won’t do that since Retail is the Machine now.
But if they release Naxx after Shadowlands, won’t that hurt their retail numbers? It’ll be interesting to see how they treat/prioritize the Retail and Classic crowds.
Unlike you, who resorts to base trolling, insults and tantrums, I’m simply providing the information for people to put together themselves.
You have to MANUALLY input the queries. Prior to this change it was automated and performed these queries hundreds if not thousands of times throughout the day. Collectively creating a tapestry of data points that, even the author(s) stated, should be taken lightly.
Yet you’re going to present - a - data point taken by - a - person that should be taken as gospel. And then proceed to show your @&& for the world to see as you resort to childlike antics on a public anonymous forum. All because some rando said (quite factually) that your #%^+ is busted.
If your point is strong enough to stand on its own accord then you don’t need to resort to pettiness. But it wasn’t. You knew that. And had a tantrum.
No census data app is. Unless you see an unedited YouTube video of a player hitting SendWho queries 100’s of 1000’s of times concurrently for hours on end and showing the results live… never trust it.
I can literally sit at my computer for 10minutes and doctor/cherrypick results to show that any given server pop is 99% level 13’s, .069% level 42’s and .21% 59’s with no 60’s present.
Pick a server. Any server. Hell, I could show you a census grab of Faerlina where the entire population consists of 10,000 level 5 Asmongold’s and ONLY them.
It takes only a modicum of effort or critical thinking to suss out the truth but so few bother.
You’re really ignorant, you know that? The addon sends the manual requests AUTOMATICALLY THROUGH KEYBINDING. You BIND the SendWho() requests that the addon makes to your LEFT AND RIGHT clicks.
Or you can do what I did and click the little button over and over again for 15 minutes. Here, I just logged on at 4:30 P.M. and did another take of Herod:

You immediately dismissed yourself from this argument the moment you claimed:
You don’t know what you’re talking about. The addon accurately shows the number of players online with a margin of error likely less than 1% (to account for people logging in or out while you’re taking the 15 minutes to run the census).
I can’t actually see what you’re writing (only the notification that you responded) so, given your history of not comprehending the entirety of what you read but instead reading 3 to (maybe) 5 words and then proceeding to spit all over your monitor in self importance, allow me to save you the effort…
Anyone who wants the truth can download that and spend 15 minutes clicking that ManualWho button. You can see EXACTLY what the addon is doing; it searches by level range and when it hits the query cap of FIFTY (not 100 like the troll said), it will begin to use other search parameters alongside the level parameter.
For example:

Or if you’re so inclined, you can perform the /who requests completely manually without an addon and tally up the numbers in a notepad. It’s incredibly easy to do this, it just takes a bit of your time. Much better than making baseless claims like some people.
Actually I think they have learnt A LOT from BFA, its not ready till its ready, if you ship a bad xpac you will spend the first ~2 content patches fixing it up and bleed players out.
There is still the pressure to ship units out the door, but they have enough in the pipline that postponing shadow lands from august to December for example is not a big deal.
I think sometime in Jan BWL will be out, which puts ZG by march, AQ may, august-sep for nax, ready for shadowlands in Dec.
Thats my ideal timeline, content is already starting to get stale in classic. I really hope they bring WSG with phase 2.
Lol the game has been out 2 months. Exaggerate much?
What’s the rush? It’s not like it’s cutting edge stuff, so why the “race”? So you can zoom through the next thing, cry for more, rinse repeat? The whole thing will be “beat” in under a year.
It’s simple. Streamers rushed in the first two weeks. Streamers are what currently sells the game. Therefore the game will be staggered around them, not the majority.
There’s a case for either really, each with pros and cons. I think a staged release though better mirrors how classic was experienced. Also, it has the added benefit of pooling the game population together for periods of time, thus allowing guilds to form and grow. It was a valid choice. And it’s a choice that’s torpedoed if they ramp up the releases for some macro reason. (eg: SL release)
Letting PvE players have access to PvP in the first place is what ruined WoW originally but we are too far past that point to go back now. I imagine after a week of World PvP chaos raining down on their little pve heads this forum will be flooded with cry posts and the bgs will he annouced early.
It makes no sense due to percentages. What has a higher chance of people staying subbed? People who are enthusiastic enough to level quickly but the might get bored? Or those who may feel behind the curve and get frustrated.
If you have the time and enthusiasm to level quickly. You will most likely be back for bwl. If youre frustrated because everyone is ahead of you, you wont.
I think they definitely should release it before. IMO P3 should be next month since P2 doesn’t really do much, then 2 months per phase is probably an ok pace. That would put Naxx release at June, with 2 months to play Classic before Shadowlands releases (assuming Aug release). If Naxx isn’t going to be out by Shadowlands release… it’s either going to have to wait quite a while or risk pulling people from retail
