Why the outrage with torghast?

why are people going nuts over a possible timer being added into torghast? there honestly needs to be one or at least something to keep you moving. I personally have cleared torghast (at least the highest floor that’s currently unlocked)

and all the other people that have done the same I’ve talked to a few and we all agree that you end up getting so many special abilities and power you just build Tanky and not worry about how fast stuff dies and even the highest floor right now is a joke because you heal so much and never take damage.

also don’t act like people won’t wait for bloodlust to come back up before every single pull for the super higher floors cus some people are crazy enough to do that. they should add something to keep people moving because if not all difficulty will be removed.

You’ve seen visions. They’re horrid. So no.

It’s not really a timer, and you do feel very powerful by the end right now, but keep in mind that Blizzard has said they plan to nerf it to where you don’t feel like an OP final boss as levels progress.

Things are still changing! But, yeah, Torghast is fun and I spent a few hours in it my first time.

Because Torghast is the only decent thing added in this game in the past few years ever since they’ve moved toward timed dungeon content. People are yearning for some dungeon crawling at their own pace like the game used to have until M+ became the top dog. If a timer is added to it, that’s it, there goes all my hope for the expansion being decent. I’ve been begging for literally any non-timed dungeon content since M+ became a thing.

Because scrubs fear difficulty in any form.

they are amazing and without the timer / sanity all they would be reduced to is 30 min of trash clearing.

the timer is what make it interesting… and for the noob out there, at rank 15 cloak the timer is extremely generous even on 5 mask.

I like difficulty I just don’t like to be rushed. I like raiding, I don’t like M+.

literally all of the non-timed dungeon content that existed before legion still exist today ( normal, heroic, mythic 0).

the fact that everybody jumped into M+ and turned it into an Esport within a year due to how popular it was just show how successfull it is.

No clue. At the end of the day it’s Palace of The Dead from FFXIV and I like that content and it also has a timer.

I agree it should be there although it should be rather lenient like not a I have to be moving 100% of the time but like 30-45 minutes per floor so again youre not just sitting there for most of a floor waiting for CDs every pull but for certain pulls that should be ok.

When was the last time you did a normal or heroic dungeon and it was actually run properly and wasn’t just like one overgeared person soloing the dungeon while people keep up?

You guys already have timed dungeon content. Let us have this one thing.

I’m ok with the soft timer idea. Some Rogue-lites have that but you have to activate it. Hard timer, no. Keys and timers make it no different than Mythics or Horrific Visions and there needs to be some variety.

Also, the difficulty you experience in Alpha will not be the difficulty on live.

That’s the strangest thing, I’ve never seen people complain that a lot of the content in Final Fantasy has a timer. They are very generous timers to be sure, but a timer nonetheless.

Yeah. I don’t remember what Potd’s timer is but a regular dungeon is like 90 minutes.

My memory wants to say it’s like 20 mins for 10 floors, but don’t quote me on it.

I believe its a mixed rant.

Some saying its an an mmo so why single player?
Some saying I can’t claim exclusiveness and deny entry since its accessible to anyone.
Some players ranting about timer
and some players talking about mandatory .

hum, about the same timeframe as every other expact before?

even in classic: my first 2-3 strat or scholo were done with people in green and blue… and to drink inbetween pull…

but a week later? DPS warrior with a 2hander sweeping strike + cleaving his way through without stopping ever.

95% of the game is cathered to slow, low-skilled player… normal-heroic mode raid and dungeon, dailies, warfront, achievement hunting and so on.

mythic raid, high-lvl mythic dungeon and torgast ( where the timer surely won’t even be an issue until the upper floor) and the only thing we have.

If i want timed stuff, i do mythic plus.

Besides, playing content that doesn’t have a timer is pretty refreshing, cause it gives you time to think where to pull and such. Especially since if i’m gonna be on my own.

Timer isn’t the only way to add difficulty. If that is the case, why Mythic Raids doesn’t have a timer?

I feel for the people who don’t want a timer and a dungeon crawl…maybe so we don’t have people waiting on lust for every pull make it only usable once per floor or death. That way you’re not waiting or you’re rolling the dice on hitting death cap to reset it.

Don’t they still have Mythic Plus? I mean we have both content that cater for both niches, i think that should be good enough.
