Why the laziness?

130+ fps everywhere in dragon isles, then 55 with 40 lows in valdrakken. Was this the part of the game that was rushed out for release and then couldn’t be bothered to optimize it? We pay for a product, we should receive an optimized experience.

Seems a metric ton of effort went into diversity yawn and very little on actually maintaining a decent player experience.

I would understand if the game just got released, but it has been out a long time now.

The reason Valdrakken does that is there is more than yourself there. Outside of that city everyone is so far apart from each other it doesn’t do this. That kinda thing has been part of the game since Vanilla. Valdrakken is a hub where everyone tends to go for various reasons, mostly crafting stations for their trade skills or the auction house. Most people just hang out there as it’s a safe spot to hang out and log out without threat of being slaughtered by ai while offline. Some people may even spend time there as they RP the idea of having a house in Valdrakken where their character goes to relax and sleep and such while not being controlled by the player. Frames are going to drop in hub cities for these kinda reasons, best thing you can do if it bugs you is do your business quickly and get out of town before the lag gets too bad for you.

Another creepy 50% discount came through.

The Microsoftening might not happen according to rumors, and that’s going to make things worse.

Someone never experienced Lagalan in all it’s glory, and it shows.

Everywhere in the Dragon Isles? Guess you haven’t spent much time in Azure Span.

There’s the crux of the troll. FPS had nothing to do with it.

Have noticed some drops there too. Not as bad. Doesn’t matter, my point still stands, it’s poor optimization. No matter how many others want to defend it.

Cool story. Let me correct it for you; FPS had nothing to with it for you. You don’t speak for me, enjoy.

True, I understand that, however oribos used to be packed to the max and I didn’t see any where near drops like that. It did dip, but nothing like valdrakken. I even have a better system now since shadowlands.

-Complains about FPS in main city.

Well the story is lazy also, so you’re probably right.

The story has always been lazy.

Always.

the combined effects of effects generated by players is prob affecting it.

lag bringing everyone to the same speed in execution of abilities is prob something causing this. how much combat logging are you passively picking up from people hitting the training dummy?

also, there may be some shenanigans going on with the view distance in certain areas which is cranking up the render loads resulting in lower fps.

but what gpu are you using to be dropping to 40s. its usually in the 60s everywhere, though i did lock it/ cap it to 60 :dracthyr_shrug:

Haven’t heard anyone call it Lagaran in a long time

Do you know ;

What causes frame drops?
The capabilities of your hardware?
The concept of cpu and gpu load?

It all contributes to lag / frame drops. (And there’s more to it but this is the simple “just replying on a game forum version”)

Yeah I disagree. The voice acting, the forced “well you know” is obvious. There are far better expansions in regards to story and optimization.

If this was actually the case, I doubt WoW would have seen its early success the way it did.

Yes I do know actually.

likely because there are usually more players gathered there than those other areas.
Its just part of gaming online.

As I mentioned in a similar reply, oribos used to be LOADED with players and didn’t see drops like that. That was on a slower system. I’m aware frames drop in populated areas.

In saying that, you’re just defending laziness. It’s clearly an optimization issue and some of the worst we’ve seen. But, “populated area”.

thats odd.
I have the same FPS drop in oribos, SW, orgrimmar or any other place Im at when there are other players gathered in any noticeable number.

If thats the case, I couldnt begin to explain it. Mines pretty consistent.
