Why the lack of metamorphosis

Really disappointed demon form isnt making a return in some way. This is the perfect opportunity to put some sort of choice node between demonic tyrant and metamorphosis.

Metamorphosis is a huge part in warlock lore. We literally got backstory questlines in two different expansions explaining why/how warlocks got it in the first place.

Because demon hunters I guess.

They play completely different anyway-- they just happen to share the same name. Something that happens throughout many other classes.

It doesn’t have to be the whole stance dancer that we had in WoD, but at least return a version of the wotlk/cata metamorphosis if possible.

A substitute for demonic tyrant seems like the best logical route, instead of empowering our demons we empower ourselves.

I think our hopes of seeing Meta return are dead at this point since we are now in Beta. Demonology has always had a theme of shadow/flame damage, with demons and survivability. The survivability in the specialization appears to be absent and instead in the class tree only.

Really disappointed in yet another person not grasping how DH has sealed any hopes of lock ever getting meta again. It will never happen as long as DH exists.

There are Priests and Paladins with Flash Heal. Wordings aside, they’re very similar abilities.
There are Mages and Shamans with Water Elementals. Inb4 “sHaMAn cAn’T sUmMoN WAtEr eLes”.
There are Warlocks and Death Knights with Death Coil. Inb4 Mortal Coil comments.

I don’t see any reason why Demon Hunters and Warlocks shouldn’ t have shared abilities. The foundation is already there.

But that’s as likely to return as Blizzard yeeting Paladin’s pony for Speed of Light.

We are far more likely to get a 3rd ranged dps spec for DH that apes an old demo than to get meta on warlock again.

And thats not a bad thing.
