Why the lack of Customization?

Red eyes are not void like tho give red eyes to belfs the heck

Really hoping Blizzard now at least considers Dark Ranger/San’layn customization for Blood Elves. I already listed my ideas above, which hopefully they’ve taken down. We likely will have to wait quite a while for it, though, for the next core races additions.

After all of this, I hope Blizzard realizes one thing. They made a mistake with the “no more customization” reply to people. It’s a very, very hot topic, as we can see by the responses here. It means people are passionate about customization.

Therefore, I hope these requests are taken seriously, and they take care to look into some of the ones by the players of the race too. I hope they continue to develop and add more as Shadowlands goes on, beyond just this thread, since there’s a lot of rich content in other threads as well with regard to customization.

And this applies beyond character, too. I really hope, someday, they consider housing, but I know that’s a major longshot. Still, figured I’d express this.

Edit: I firmly believe red eyes should go to blood elves, not void elves. Thank you.

Look, while I don’t understand it, I do get that for some unknown reason a lot of people were really upset because the options they want to play as weren’t actually part of the story and they insisted for 15 years that we had to give them something that was already playable, but on the other side. That makes no sense to me, if a game has a story, stick to what you’re doing, don’t just throw everything in because people don’t like change.

So maybe you all could get over yourselves and realize that some of use find uniqueness to be a positive thing in a story and that just copying over a race for reasons is worrying to some of us who want each race to be its own thing and not just some sort of asian mmo “here’s all the various races we have that are all variations of conventionally attractive people” It doesn’t mean you have to give up what you want for us, or that we should give up what we want for your sake. Just get it through your skull that we’re all just here advocating for what we enjoy in a game, and sometimes one of our requests will do harm to another’s preferences.

Please do not take what little hope for individuality blood elves have left… :sob:

Dark Rangers are Forsaken though. Give Forsaken a toggle at character creation screen to use human model or thalassian elf model

Me too, I would play Vykrul forever if I could.

remind us again what your response would be when we mentioned how many times the void elves got more customization when it wasn’t their turn?

If you can’t read sarcasm, that’s not my fault. The post where someone attempted to call me out is blatant sarcasm. My disinterest in Blizzard’s comments and my lack of believing their sincerity is my own thing. Again, none of which is rude. I have every right to be skeptical considering this screams “break the glass in case of emergency” all over.

And yes, blood elf racial identity is being destroyed. You’re just refusing to acknowledge it because you got what you wanted. There is no point in playing blood elf right now. Their racials are trash, their customization was horrible in comparison to almost every other core race, and there’s nothing unique about them anymore other than eye color which you cannot even see in most helmets / headgear.

That I felt that it was shocking sanlayn options were added yet. And I still do find it shocking that in an expansion of death there is no sanlayn custom options yet to an extent. And I still maintain that. It has no bearing to my response earlier though.

Get over myself lol the heck I’m not helfers nor am I a Karen . I could careless about the lore . So idk why you insist on saying that I am affiliated with those people. Just stop while you are ahead it won’t work here with me .

I’m allowed to ask for black hair . And blizz said ok simple as that . The only people mad are the Karens who tried gatekeeping those options from us for 3 yrs. Don’t even start with me . It’s not my fault y’all took what Ion said seriously

Unique yellow/green eyes, unique hair styles, unique jewelry, unique hair colors (still), ability to play paladin. Seems pretty easy to tell the two apart to me anyways.

Thank you Blizzard for destroying the identity even more of a race I played on the Horde for 13 years. I can’t even feel excited about customization of my BE Pally, knowing there are alliance look a likes now.

Knowing anything added or anything currently that the Void Elves don’t have (So far) like our hair styles will be asked for and even possibly givin’ to them.

I’d love a response from a blue as to their plans to create enough uniqueness between BE and VE in the future. Stuff that isn’t going to be copy/pasted over.

Yeah, heaven forbid we assume the game director is a reliable source of information and that we should actually take what the game director says as reliable.

That’s more sarcasm if you couldn’t tell. And now for the serious: to insinuate that we shouldn’t have taken the game director seriously is beyond silly.

Under that logic, Velves should had gotten nothing this pass cause the devs decided hijacking our pass to fix stuff for you guys was A-ok, ergo giving you guys your “pass” with the core races.

And red eyes don´t have to mean undead, your point?

If the Belf playable model had green eyes as per “Word of God” thanks to them living for 5 years near a Fel infused crystal, i think living and working for 5 years give or take near an Anima golem pretty much guarantees the red eye color thing, period.

Easy to justify, easy to implement. Waaay easier than the petition made by your twin avatar to take more Horde stuff for your side for the lols, at least.

Does it hurt to admit this is just a clash of game preferences, and that for some people this is removing something they value?

I was under the impression they simply had not gotten around to void elves yet and the addition of high elf options was sort of a side effect of them doing blood elf model custom options since they share the same model. I am certain they will someday.

I’m obligated to mention the purple eyes: “oh it was meant for an NPC and we accidentally added it but kept it because you know what? Have fun!”

No lore reason. At all.

At this point, agreed. I am all about lore as you know, but like… yeah. After that, and how they’ve been handling things, giving red eyes would be, at this point, exactly the “have fun!” of purple eyes.

So… you’re saying… gives Void Elves red colored eyes :eyes:

Exactly it’s pretty easy to tell the two apart.

Tho I still want to see void elf paladins in a sense but not with all the light stuff. A new alliance only adv class with void powers and void stuff only that can play kind of like a paladin but much different instead of healing with the light and stuff have it be all void like , then they could introduce those void theme heritage weapon sets for everyone too aswell . Kinda bummed out that we didn’t get those weapon sets with the heritage armors .
