Why the lack of Customization?

Not to discount folks griefs with the whole VE/BE thing, but I’m over here wishing I had the luxury of being able to play my favorite race on both factions.

Maybe stop caring so much by what other people ask and their intentions and GET ON THE SAN’LAYN TRAIN!!

Them Red eyes! Them Unlocked DK skins! LET’S GO!!

Void = / = undead. Undead are Horde. Void has nothing to do with undead. I am adamantly against void elves getting any of those options. For blood elves, however, or forsaken, or as their own Horde allied race, I would be interested and maybe return to the game.

How is it trolling when any other race asks for something (and we’ve been asking for san’layn and dark ranger for a really long time - it’s not in reaction to this), but it’s not trolling when void elf players (mostly helfers) go “can we also get green eyes, yellow eyes, get access to Silvermoon and be paladins and dhs too pleeees” about 200 times a day and create thread after thread about it?

Make it make sense.

Oh no, I mean that folding HE aesthetics into VE ones serves as a precedent of doing the same for San’layn into BE ones.

Undeath themes have never been part of void elves, so while people are free to ask whatever they want, I don’t see the case for it.

You are going to end up taking all my likes at this rate and I’m totally okay with it. :yum: :yum: :yum:

Oh phew, alright, I just know some are now asking for void elves to get those themes because ‘goth aesthetic’ argument, when I try to explain ‘goth isn’t a theme, the magic type is’.

But yes, I’m hoping for implementation paths, there’s tons of avenues that can occur. (One of my favorites is a night-warrior-like questline for fangs, claws, and jet black eyes.)

And… long shot but a mount that’s a cloud of bats. Yes I know it’s unlikely but still so cool to imagine. (Think of the halloween hearthstone? Bats fly around but it’d be a cloud of bats. And such. Maybe a venthyr mount. But I really want them to explore the vampyr curse more in lore.)

Playing a Draenei monk and wearing Rogue gear is as close as we can get to Draenei rogue :frowning: Sure does look funny running around in fel covered gear with fel tipped daggers strapped to your back.

How do you do fellow Draenei?

This is the kind of attitude that makes me feel like you aren’t really here for a conversation.

Oh yeah, I’m still confused as to why Draenei can’t be rogues? Is it the hoof thing? You’d think there’d be ‘silent walking’ lore…or something.

I did that in the “core” pass, Turokan. Remind me again how that pass went for us?

No. I don´t think is fair as far as customer service is concerned that devs “deigned efficient” to include Velf customizations during the Belf scheduled time. If that is the policy, then sorry but to activate an eye color for the Belf race during the “Velf pass” is fair and “efficient” too, period.

Impossible unless you consider the pettiness factor in this case. Or bait.

Frankly, let´s put the two individuals that we all know are doing this just to bait the Belf posters (so other posters tell us to “shut up”) on ignore and move on.

I always had the notion that was why Tauren can’t be rogues either. Hooves

Yep it’s silly! There’s actually several Rogue Draenei examples in the game. There’s a stealthed Rangari Draenei in Gorgrond and several Rangari that stealth around in WoD. Though some of those do wear mail gear so it’s kinda ambiguous that they’re hunters. There is also a Draenei Garrison follower with rogue abilities.

Also plenty of sneaky stealthed Eredar during the Legion expansion.

They can just wear cute little hoof booties to muffle their hooves when sneaking.

So win win! Draenei rogues and cute little booty shoes!! lmao

Yeah, see that’s what I thought, I could have sworn there were some draenei I ran into that had stealth when questing at various points. That’s interesting. I still don’t understand many class-race restrictions.

I started doing that with Autai originally, but just could not get into it. Just want to be the real thing :frowning:

I wonder if it has something to do with keeping class selection fair??

Like the reason I don’t think LFD can be monks is because Highmountain Tauren and LFD started with only five classes (six when they expanded death knights). Void Elves and Highbourne it wasn’t an issue.

Blizz, let me just be an onyx skin LFD idiot please.

Tbh, with the cinematic of Thrall and Saurfang vs the rogue gals, it’s easier to just say that rogues utilize shadow magic to muffle sound.

I just don’t think there’s a good case for it. There’s a better case for Kaldorei Dark Rangers on the alliance if anything.

Yeah basically! With how “HE” aesthetics have been implemented, I just think it really adds so many possibilities for customization options linked to specific fantasies without the need for AR’s, which could better serve to fantasies/races with bigger aesthetic differences (such as, Forest and Ice Trolls, Mok’nathal, etc)

My horde main is a Dark Ranger. There’s nothing i’d like more of BE’s to get red eyes. But I have also wanted High Elves for… 16 years, so I’m not going to say that Blizz is particularly prompt when it comes to adding options.

For now, for me, the acknowledgement they are going to look into Core Races is enough. Disagree freely with that as you may. But while the BE pass wasn’t as cool as others, we did get a lot of stuff, SPECIALLY skin tones and the constantly asked for Blue Eyes. So I will not act like BE’s haven’t gotten anything.

Void elves only beat female worgen, and 6 other ars beat VEs. Alliance takes 9 of the 15 races with the least customizations and the Horde take up 9 of the 15 races with the most customization choices.
