I don´t recall defending that particular claim. I did say that as one poster who literally saw the unique visual aspects of her fav race get eroded in favor of people that are still salty Quel´thalas rolled Horde in the early 2000´s I can in a way empathize with NB posters that fear the Highborne petitions will degenerate into the usual low effort copy / pasting BS.
And taking into account the precedent of the Belf / Velf case, this makes a legitimate concern. I agree not all NB players may be gracious or even decent while making this claim, but this doesn´t mean the claim is any less valid. At the most you can call out their lack of decency in the comunication process, but none of us sure as hell has the moral highground to try and deslegitimize their concerns, period.

I mean, Averyx always has, I generally choose to gloss over it because I would rather not engage in that conversation. It’s a conversation that generally goes no where and folks get unnecessarily heated.
My issue comes when folks generalize one posters feedback into the community as a whole. It’s like saying that I wanted HE options for VEs when no, I never asked for anything of the sort.
People who are asking for copy pasting of Nightborne aesthetics and options shouldn’t be listened to. It doesn’t make sense.
There has been ten thousand years of difference in culture and deviation between the Nightborne and the Shen’dralar. They have two entirely different stories at this point.
Asking for options to represent them is fine so long as we’re asking for options specific to the Night Elves. As I explained above. Minor jewelry options, tattoos using our design itself, a few eye colors? Nothing there explicitly takes from the Nightborne.

So yeah. I stand by those words. I have no issue with Night Elf options for Nightborne if only to represent the Moon Guard.
That’s sort of a lot of their posts too even in regards to any BE players who want a second visual theme out of yes what would be fair. I’d be hard pressed to find a post of theirs that isn’t as you just described that you say you have such a hard time not calling out / helping yourself from commenting on.
Never said you did but your posts reacting to people who are being very defensive of the Highborne theme as the NBs main visual theme comes off that way at least enough for me to have pointed that there’s nothing wrong with being defensive over NB.
As for your other comment in regards to arcane / Highborne themes, NB as the parallel (though not direct copy like the hand handed to BEs) the NB should better capture that then NEs asking for RP tools.

It’s hard not to get sucked into it if you’re already in a pretty negative mindset. I’ve been caught into it a few times due to frustration hype/circlejerking.
But ultimately I would say that there’s more of a race bias for Orcs/Humans.
But we are, these forums show a prime example of how different of players are on both sides, acting like we aren’t is like acting like there will never be arguments between people, it’s not realistic.

Ending dialogue for the Suramar campaign Horde side, one of the Moon Guard NPCs mentions he would love to visit Silvermoon.
Oh boy did this dialogue started flame wars in SF back in Legion, cause in a way it cimented the precedent the NB were NOT gonna roll Alliance and that annoyed a lot of people on the blue side of the fence.

Not even that, it´s literal pet character / self insert Bias. The humans as a race haven´t gotten anything relevant story wise since Vanilla; however the Wrynns are THE lore blackhole that consumed and tore the Alliance to shreds.
Horde side was Thrall then Garrosh then Suevanas -I´ll never forgive them for ruining a delicate character like Sylvanas in such crude ways (making the female character whose conversion in the novel reads like an in-your-face methapor of sexual assault the poster child for abused becomes the abuser cause mental weakness was… disgusting).
Because they shouldn’t get the same level of holy customizations as the race that is literally remade by the light?
Lann’s arguement is because BE have yellow eyes they should get holy themes. Well… they had green eyes longer, does that mean they should had fel theme customizations then? The answer is no lol.
