The problem is they don’t copy them, the model is modified and it’s modified to the point that people hate it, including myself despite the fact I loved actual Nightborne storylines and the NPC’s.
Alliance people don’t quit they come to the Horde side, everyone knows that because our population keeps growing and growing, get real.
My standard is that we lack classes our parent race has as well as Void Elves, you are who mentioned that, my standard is also that Horde and Blood Elves are the only ones that have actually had to share anything with Alliance and Void Elves where Night Elves haven’t shared anything with Nightborne yet.
I don’t know, you’re the one kicking up a storm that night elves are apparently the worst thing ever, which frankly doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, yeah, maybe some proportions are off, but they aren’t bad. But because people are getting a little thing apparently the stupid faction bias thing has to come out, guess it’s worked well so far.
They didn’t start this until recently, which is funny when you actually follow these threads because basically none of them took issues with Night Elves until they wanted to act like Nightborne aren’t the worst model in the whole game.
Well then seems the horde population is vastly more shallow than the Alliance’s.
And yet WoW’s population in general keeps decreasing and it’s share in the acti blizz reports is smaller each time. Sounds good to me.
So in that case should night elves get nightborne stuff too? after all you admit NB are completely different and if Velves and Belves share stuff, it should go both ways.
I’ve always said part of the reason the Alliance has had a bit of a population problem is because of how atrocious the male humans are. They are the face of the faction - and humans, contrary to what people will protest - tend to be an extremely popular choice in MMOs because of self-insertion, but when you’re a new player - or somebody who enjoys playing attractive male characters - you load up the game, and you see this vs this, which do you wind up picking?

I am a 22 year old man. (Note, this is theoretical. I am not actually a 22 year old man. It doesn’t matter what I am in this context, honestly.)
I want to, if I play the “humanoid” race of my chosen faction, look like myself, not my alcoholic dad. The 80’s “power muscle” fantasy in 2021 is actually a niche, and it’s pretty sad I have to really dig into customization to make a male human that’s attractive or “regular” looking.
Meanwhile, other MMOs, a lot of the men either have body options so we can make our choice, or just, by default, have a more 20-30 year old face, or proper proportions with wrists. I’m too lazy to dig up screenshots from XIV, but the humans look more like what belves look like facial/body wise.
I will never play a male human (outside that lock, it’s actually a worgen) in WoW because the models are atrocious, but I play them very often in other MMOs.
This is a problem.
We’re supposed to be able to represent ourselves in game, but I literally cannot with the male humans. I cannot represent my boyfriend, I cannot represent his father, I cannot represent my coworkers. Body options are the only fix for this.
Why would it, what have Blood Elves taken from Void Elves, nothing, it should be a one way street with Nightborne from Night Elves as well.
This is laughable especially coming from the faction of people that hate on people for playing Mechagnomes and Kul Tiran when Kul Tiran are one of the best models in the entire game, I absolutely love them and their hair.
Is weird to say nelves aren’t bad and then say nightborne are bad because they are based on them.
NB are just skinnier nelves with better ears. Each problem they have is inherited from the clown looking race nelves are. But people refuse to accept that.
Yeah, but they’re different models to a degree and manage to look worse than the low poly npcs from suramar. As for Nelves, you really seem to be overselling it.
But you are saying Belves are a Neutral race now, because they are practically the same. Nelves and NB are vastly different therefore if they are going to be the same too, they would need to share both of their vast differences on the other side. Velves don’t have enough things on their own after all. Velves’ extra variable is tentacles.
You are the ones who play mostly Belves and refuse to touch the night elf model.
Well for one, I play only Warlock characters so I can’t play a Night Elf character because the class isn’t available to me, that doesn’t change I would love to have pink skin, pink hair and the golden eyes on my Nightborne on the actual Night Elf model.
But they don’t, Blood Elves have had to share our skintones, eye colors and hair colors with Void Elves, Void Elves have shared nothing with Blood Elves, same with Night Elves to Nightborne so logically Nightborne should at least get the skintones and hair colors from Night Elves.
Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. Zandalari are probably the best iteration of the Night Elf skeleton. They even fixed the NEs awful physique.
It’s pretty funny how bad the human men are. Those shoulders…but it could be worse, they could be Draenei men and their lack of wrists . Blizzard somehow managed to fix this on the Broken men, but that body isn’t available
One thing to keep in mind, even humanoids like Wrathion’s human form, now use the male belf as a base, because the male belf looks more like a regular young human than the human models do body proportion wise too.
I actually wonder if the whole High Elf thing might have been way more subdued if we could make young attractive male humans, but… we never could. We actually never really had models that fit the “female gaze” on Alliance for the longest time.
People meme about the Alliance being full of “pretty” races, but male humans, dwarves, gnomes, night elves (in game), kul’tirans, and draenei all look ugly as sin and way too hyper-masculine. Horde is where you had to go to have a “pretty” male race.
Alliance finally got one, and it’s been non-stop trolling and revolting from the “ugly race” faction for 4+ years now.
If you don’t want Kul Tiran give them to Horde, it would further boost our population because we’d actually get a brand new model with brand new customizations that are amazing.
