Why the lack of Customization?

Oh my gosh that woman tickled me haha. She was so miffed that she was reduced to healing wounded soldiers when her abilities would have been best to incinerate enemies with the Light. THAT was something I wasn’t expecting to see, but I am living for it!

I want her to team up with Sky Admiral Rogers so hard.

" Kindly inform the High Commander that I am happy to ensure any prisoners we capture are properly… “purified”."

She has issues.

Enaara, Rogers and that Worgen from the savage ones could single-handedly start a war after some “light” genocide TBH.

I adore her. She’s actually spicy.

Hope she gets to meet Yrel and they become psycho friends.

Still wonder if we’ll ever get to see her again. I’m personally a fan of what Blizzard did with her…think it set a good example of how susceptible Draenei are to ‘corruption’, especially without Velens leadership.

I´m sorry Fen T_T… Human characters on this game are written as the worst lore blackholes ever seen.

She´s quite average.

Heck, anytime a fanboy goes all “she must replace Lor´themar!!” I roll my eyes so hard I fear they will fall out from my head cause I´m like: dudes, Rommath is still her boss. There are literally bigger fishes on that pond, stop hyping her featlesss (is this even a word?) self.

You see, apparently the Grand Magister is a nerd of the “worst” kind (knew better the Dalaran realpolitiks than Aethas the actual Kirin Tor envoy).

The way I see it he´s WoW´s version of J. Edgar. I bet even the Belf spies have spies watching their moves (I mean how “convenient” the only info the Belf spy managed to get from Lor´themar in Roux story was his useless poem book haikus).

Collateral from the awful “Alliance can´t be nuanced and must be perfectly perfect goodie two shoes who never do no wrong!!” writting that pollutes your faction.

Why do you think i stay Horde even with the villain batting? At least Horde characters are so wacky one gets a good laugh out of them.

Quite the argument, lasted what, like a century?

I just know I´d be a very UNHAPPY waifuy if my husbando left some narrowminded btch put me on jail forno other reason that “muh prejudiceee!!!”

It´s called “trophy waifu” effect. You see, if they “ace” the superior hawt elf waify, they are even more “chad” than normal.

Terrible narrative trope. Literally ruined Veeresa before she had a chance to develop as her own character in WoW.

My fav in Argus -and Argus questing usually put me to sleep; once I literally hit forehead against the monitor of my PC- was the mage; her interactions with the robot were hilarious.

Before the “but Belves joined the ORCS!!” people jump to argue, let me point how this narrative development involved those very same Orcs helping the Belves AFTER someone else killed 90% of them.

It wasn´t an authomatic “let´s be friends!!!” story… there´s nuance involved.

You know what duo I wanna see more of? Asric and Jadaar

Also I might have a good chuckle if they flip this with Nightborne women being highly attracted to Blood Elf men :eyes:

Not to mention the people arguing it are doing it in bad faith. I’ve seen it repeated by certain users I have on perma-ignore. “Give the Alliance something the Horde wants”. Imagine being so bloody petty and toward people who generally don’t care what the alliance gets. Personally? I don’t care if they get high elves. I’m not interested, but I’m apathetic.

So demanding something that belongs on the Horde and screaming that we’re ‘gatekeeping’ literal undead elves in a faction that has UNDEAD ON IT is absurd. I’d understand pushing it for BOTH factions, but even then… like… the Alliance now have two themes of Thalassian elves. Meanwhile, some of us (not all of us, I’m not speaking for everyone!) want playable Dark Rangers & vampyr elves, and I don’t know why that’s so selfish of us and so hard to ask.

ESPECIALLY since some of us have been sharing in depth ideas and talking about this for years, going so far a to make videos on it and keep the hype up cough cough me. So they can sit down.

It depends what they do, if it’s just random “gee she evl, murder all them AU” would be stupid. If we actually get to see her side an she just likes to murder some orcs on the side. I like it too. Yrel was always the draenei that wanted to fight which made her different and important in the AU, she not existing in the MU might have been what really f the draenei over.

Yeah, is weird. I remember back in HotS when people wanted her to be THE Belf and THE Paladin representative, and I was like “wut”.

Embarrassing Though.

Eh they aren’t even alliance though. hey are just…there.
Alliance has enough stuff IMO, the whole goody two shoes is more the marketing, the problem is Blizz doesn’t let the agressive alliance characters act.

Alliance wins the war at the end of MoP. Peak Genn Greymane hatred. A war started after what the forsaken did aaand…nothing no one says anything about Sylvanas, they let her go fine.

It wasn’t that much longer before we found them. And Imean Alleria did go away for 500 years without explanation prior to that.

Last time I saw we shared “space” but the AH stayed pretty much independent. No chance to even trade stuff with people from Ragnaros of Quel´thalas.

Careful, you may trigger one Orc poster in particular.

But I´ll admit I laughed like a deranged hyena after Thalyssra exposed her thirstiness in the NB intro scenario… “my friends call me THALYSSRA!!!” like 5 min after meeting the guy? Ok gal, that egg was in need of some salt, we got the picture XDXD.

I personally just dislike SOME pretty specific arguments and petitions on the Helfer side of fence (I valued the aesthetic differences, but then again I´ll get over the cloned aesthetics). I donñt have a problem with Alliance players getting their Helves and actually exploring and getting development for the High elves on the Alliance, i just hate how some posters have this weird OCD to attach to the WC2 era, quel´thalas and inevitably the belves by default.

Why stay stuck on the past, ffs?!? Let the Helves grow as per their own interactions with the Alliance and it´s races -heck, maybe if they get good development we may see the advent of another semi relevant race on that faction instead of the current Human Potential disease polluting it-.

Omg. Paladins -especially the way Liadrin is written- are ICONIC to the Alliance. Blood Knights are interesting the furthest away they are from “average Light worshipping fan”. Solanar and Vranesh are so much better in comparison. They have Belfy personalities, liadrin is a long eared human as per her most recent portrayal.

Well it depends: the actual paranoia has worked in his and the kingdom´s favor so… good for him?

I had forgotten that part… omg, they are quite disfunctional.

I see, yeah that sucks.

Yeah. This is why I usually dislike elf paladins, and I don’t want Velf or Nelf ones lol.

Yeah, honestly wow writer team sucks at romance. I think that Lor’themar x Thalyssra is maybe the one thing that’s ok so far.

They’re cute af together as well. The pieces Blizzard has written for them have been great. I would love to see homegirl with Azure Dragonflight woman more as well. Even if it’s just a solid af friendship. That duo was great during the NB questchain.

Most of the Blood Elf players enjoyed the misery of the High Elf topics so much, it wouldn’t surprise me if this is the reason why Blizzard gave into the request.

Both sides are absolutely childish but this could have been all prevented by have the Alliance given the High Elves in Legion. You blame the wrong people here, it’s Blizzard’s fault in recognizing and denying the request for some random explanation a’la “the Horde is waiting for you”…

It’s definitely Ion Hazzikostas and the core people’s fault. They even didn’t realize how unpopular Mechagnomes are. Who in their right mind truly believed that an ugly race will bring the Horde players over to play them? Who exactly? The Kul Tiran are a fine race but are a human customization which didn’t require a race slot. The Horde got everything they asked for: The Zandalari Trolls, requested ever since MoP. The Mag’har Orcs and a straight back options, ever requested since the beginning. Vulpera, the hotly debated and fought for race. On top of that every important lore-race from Legion is also Horde.

The Alliance got nothing interesting. Why aren’t the Broken playable? The Lightforged could have been simply a regular Draenei customization. Where are the interesting Alliance-races? Alliance-players have been so much conditioned in liking human-races it is frightening. Even now they request the Kyrians as if they haven’t enough humans.

Thalyssra wasn’t getting any at Suramar and it shows.

Well, you get stuck in bubble for a few millennia and you start craving something different

Anyway, in case Linxy or any other CM/dev is reading this, thank you very much for all the customizations so far developed. You’ve made a lot of people happy - the High Elf fanbase, 2/3rds of the Void Elf fanbase, Nightborne fans (myself included), as well as LF Draenei and HM Tauren fans. Although admittedly these last two I feel would need a bit more love.

If you could only just fix Nightborne male faces, their scowl/M-shaped mouth isn’t appealing at all :frowning:

Void Elves would need Void options too, please check Fen’s thread:

As well as Ellincia’s thread:

Or if any of you CMs would like to join the Void Elf Discord and check out our Customization Ideas channel, filled with straightforward visual examples of what we’re looking forward to, we’d be honored by your presence there!! Fen has covered most of it already anyway in his thread, though:

Thanks!! :hugs:

I couldn’t have said it better buddy. Perhaps they could give Ogres and Sethrak to Horde, and Ethereals and Saberon to Alliance? Either way the faction imbalance problem will be resolved through the means of cross-faction gameplay and not through a competition on who has the more appealing assets now, that ship sailed a long time ago and people tend to just play the more popular side and follow their friends regarding M+ and raiding.

in real life no one colour codes their eyes to their outfit lol

But I would if I could!

All this cosmic Alliance Ethereal pushing is usually paired up with giving the Horde a race who still uses spikes as decoration.

Could we go for a cosmic Horde race to maybe have a rivalry pair off with the Ethereals? Hell at this point I’m willing to settle for a bunch of slimy void walkers as a race :sob:
