Welp, upon closer inspection I found another way that the developers cut corners to deliver the Nightborne more mediocre options. Just when I thought I was done finding examples like this…
The “Pendant” necklace option which was added in 9.1.5 was made by repurposing an asset from an already existing earring option. Again, more repurposing to get around creating something unique and thoughtfully crafted for the Nightborne. The reason why the pendant looks so low resolution was because it was just scaled up in size and they didn’t bother to retouch it.
Did the same dev team that works on WoW also work on WC3 Reforged? If not, they are desperately needed for WoW ASAP.
The Anasterian Sunstrider model they created for WC3 Reforged looks so handsome. He is what the “old” faces of the Nightborne male should look like…but various shades of purple, blue, silver, etc.
GOSH… the high heels would be amazing~! and sexier outfits in general… But you know… because of the company doing bad things, we can’t have nice things in general.
Makes me think of FFXIV, in my opinion FF14 is close to perfect graphically… I just wish the content was more like WoW
The purpose of the OP in that thread I created is to highlight the issues with the 9.1.5 customization pass, as well as the launch options for the Nightborne. It has nothing to do with the Highborne aesthetic, or the Night Elves.
Basically, the images I posted in that thread serve to dispel anyones’ illusion that the Nightborne have received exceptional treatment or service by the developers.
If anyone would like to view the thread, here you go:
Hopefully this is looked at and something done for Blood Elves soon.
Blood Elves not having a second set of options when having lost visual uniqueness in their own customization pass which awarded Void Elves those very options for their own second visual theme is in poor taste imo.
Why did Void Elves benefit from being attached to the core race pass and again in a pass where they didn’t even fit all ARs in (maybe do the ones that you know didn’t get bumped into the core race pass?) so they’ve jumped the line, and had two passes, while taking the visual uniqueness of Blood Elves as as an effective second theme.
Blood Elves need to catch up before Void Elves are given a third pass which people are already lobbying for under the premise they’ve received no passes. It would not be fair for when Blood Elves to finally be worked on to allow VEs to keep benefitting off of that effectively always make sure they get new options when Blood Elves still need to catch up on options that would offset what visual uniqueness was lost.
Blood Elves also didn’t get unique options to their main theme? Farstrider tattoos. Runic tattoos.
And yet, Blood Elves have far more customizations to Void Elves. But then you’re acting like Void Elves have had actual passes, but actually, they haven’t, when you compare to every other race in the game, minus a couple.
Jeez, once again, you’re post comes down to, “Hey Blizzard, should listen to me more”
Blood Elves have exclusive claim to Farstriders, agreed.
Also agreed Farstriders wouldn’t be joining them it’s such a weird thing to try to claim because of a one off special character yet the culture and organization lies with Blood Elves.
The chart they worked all day on wasn’t accurate? Will be intrigued to see an accurate account anyways, Zan was doing a count on Blood Elves but will take awhile because busy he said in an earlier post and I will wait for that.
