ele shaman pvp talent “control of lava” -> REPLACES lava surge -> no more instant cast lavaburst, one of the few reasons to play a caster these days =]
so… this is a bit of an oversight? who the hell would take this talent? could we just get the instant cast proc added into that control of lava talent? that would make it an interesting choice.
Is this on the PTR? I’m a bit confused (I’m at work so lol). Are they taking away my instant-cast lava burst? If so what are they replacing it with?

The idea behind this talent is that Lava Burst would become a big, Chaos Bolt-like ability.
I dunno probably because once you stack it high enough it starts cracking people super hard.
We don’t need more instant casts that just remove massive portions of HP.
Especially when ele can just play BOTE and hit over 165k Earth Shocks.
You mean like Lava Burst used to be, but without a talent and still the ability to instant cast it on proc?
Yup. I’m still salty it got nerfed of all its epic damage.

It causes your procs to increase the damage of Lava Burst, but removes ability to instant cast the ability.
I see. And yes, I very much miss it, too.

im quite clear on what it does. the prose is plain to read. its just that it takes away the screw-you functionality and makes it into a budget chaos bolt.
and the obvious question is… why? =(
we all know the drill… oh noes, fun detected… nerfgun …granted, instant casts should be dealt with carefully, but come ON… this nonsense where they take something then sell it back, or just PART of it back…
