It’s a very well designed addon. If you end up with someone toxic in your channel you can always hop to a new one channel or just kick the person from the community. That blocks them instantly from being able to read or send any chats. In addition, the addon disables itself if it’s used on a non-RP realm.

It actually wasn’t because it was using the communities feature to work and piggy back off of something blizzard actually put into place.

But as Leonir said, it really does feel like a slight against anyone who wants to rp and doesn’t agree with the climate of the lore surrounding bfa. It really puts a damper on people who are faction neutral.

What’s sad is the factions are a joke at this point. Race/Faction change, servers don’t lock you to one faction or the other. They only exist as a marketing gimmick at this point. Wrecking RP over “brand image” or some BS is ridiculous and spiteful.

Even then still, i personally don’t think it’s all fine as your indirectly suggesting at. Their at least got to be a few bad apples. I mean, a cross faction addon built for RPing with, it just feels like, in the wrong hands, it’s ripe for abuse, and i just thought that was reason enough why Blizzard probally broke it.
The solution to bad apples is to throw out the apples, not sew your mouth shut.

I’m sure they had a reason. Nonetheless, just use a battle-net group chat.
Sadly in this day and age of the “we know what you want” I don’t really expect them to say much of anything as to why they’re making specific changes. They can’t even bother with a small write up about “we did X, Y and Z to bring A, B and C in line”.
