I think it’s fine that blizzard allows their employees to work normal schedule but I try to think about other people and not just what I want all the time. It’s an interesting thing to try.

Hmm…other mmo companies are able to do those hours. I worked for years overnight with no extra pay. Not sure what you are saying.

Maybe, it’s easier for an individual to adjust their schedule than for Bliz to adjust its maintenance schedule to accommodate everyone.
Well when people pay money for a service it kind of SHOULD revolve around the paying customers.
Blizz is using the cheapest model they can imagine to maintain their product. It’s that simple.
No not at all. Working at night is no worse than working in the day time. In fact I would say its better as you can do your business in the morning hours when places are open as opposed to getting off in the evening when a lot of places are closed. If I could do my landscaping work that I do at night Id be very happy.
Still works for me every week, don’t know what that person was on about, but you have to see if there is any servers down, if all servers are green it’s usually good, if a number are down it’s not back up yet

Thanks, responded to them because I’ve never had an issue using it to judge when servers are up, and since blizz doesn’t tell us in other ways I’d rather not have a call to take it down

Right, Every other company in existence does maintenance from like 3am-6am or something along those lines… why on earth do it during normal hours???

Companies do maintenance around lowest populations, this is the lowest population time for the game

You would think they would schedule it like that… most other games do something similar but not blizzard.
Because they do it during what is likely the lowest amount of players playing

It does.
This is why we get maintenance. Otherwise, they’d just let the game bug out and not bother with it for a couple weeks at a time.
They’ve had layoffs, they’ve had management changes and work load changes.
I think all that can play a part in how long maintenance takes as well.
At least it still happens once a week so that’s a good thing.
Silver linings and all. Try to stay positive. Things irl are changing and will increase as time goes on so be grateful for what you have now.
