I dont get what maintenance there really is to do for this season considering the fact its all OLD content that they have already done so there shouldnt be any delay. Maybe microsoft shouldn’t just let them be and actually step in because something is obviously not jiving.
Which is probably the biggest reason, retuning old content. But other things, warbands and shared banking across alts which has never been done.
They have very rarely been done on time on patch releases.
Oh good an 8th thread about this topic. I was afraid we wouldn’t have enough complaints threads to go around.
My guess is that you never had to work in IT and found out about unexpected release bugs.
Stop crying like a spoiled entitled brat. The realms will be up soon.
Turning off some content, turning on other content, wiping the scores as well as locking in various FoS and making sure everything is reset and stable before bringing realms back up. It does not matter whether the content is new or old the process still has to go through the same steps. It could have been 8 brand new dungeons and 3 brand new raids and the time would have been unchanged.
I bet you also don’t understand anything about what it takes to make and run a live service game either.
So how about you relax and let them work.
WoW is working on code that is over 20 years old. Any and every change can cause issues. It isn’t always as simple as just flipping a switch. Do what I do and prepare for the worst on patch days, expect 8 hours of WoW being down, anything less will be a pleasant surprise.
They keep adding hours in such a sneaky way! Ppl that are waiting keep waiting, if I knew it was 3 hours after the original schedule I might plan accordingly, but every hour extend for 1hr is inconsiderate.
I suggest grabbing a dictionary, and looking up the terms “expect,” and “approximately.”
This is also not accurate.
