people beat gruul at 68 too…
And how many bosses were in Gruuls
Also there was only a few 68’s in that group, the rag group was literally all 58’s
World pvp ruined world pvp. There was and currently is no measure that exists to ever stop that from occurring.
At Launch - Stormrage (US PvE) was a balanced server. TBC 2:3 favoring alliance. WotLK 1:20 favoring alliance. Cata Horde were a myth.
Imagine being incentivized on a PvP server to choose creating a character. Are you gonna pick the side with a smaller population?
Imagine being in a balanced server and your faction dwindling. Are you going to continue enjoy the partial experience, smaller Auction houses, cornered items, (if PvP) constantly getting 5:1 fights?
There is no means in place to prevent the snowball effect from morphing a 1:1 server into an inevitable 2000:1.
Pointless argumentative post is pointless and argumentative.
- Vanilla is available. This is the BC forum, so you’re intentionally trolling.
- If you don’t like BC, don’t play it.
- Everyone plays differently, and the list in the OP is almost a point for point list of why I prefer BC (and will prefer Wrath) over Vanilla. Your opinion is invalid to me, because we have different goals and enjoy different things.
So this is a pointless troll post meant to start an argument.
I disagree… TBC is just a different flavor. It’s the dark universe to the old world of vanilla. Even the very memorable quests and story’s there borrow concepts from many popular dark fantasy genre. Masters of the Universe, Dark Crystal, Krull and Conan just to name a few.
So if you’re not into that type of thing it’s probably not your game…
it’s not , it’s actually better
Why you’re wrong.

Flying mounts were widely loved and accepted up through mop. Criticism for flying mounts didn’t start to appear until blizzard created the controversy themselves with WOD.

The size of the map is meaningless metric in terms of fun. You must have forgotten what happened in wow classic with legions of multiboxers providing summoning services around the map. By, the way, it also greatly inflated the appearance of how many people were actually playing classic wow.

TBC has more content than classic did. Heroic dungeons keep dungeons relevant longer than just normal dungeons in classic. TBC also has more raids in total.
Why make a post if you’re going to make things up to fit your narrative?
I haven’t heard a single good reasons why anyone ever dislikes TBC. It’s the superior product. It’s not even close.
netherwind is a pve server now bro wym
Most class specs in Vanilla are poorly designed memes & the awful gear/armor itemization makes it even worse. HoT classes are screwed in raids due to the fact that those spells don’t stack between players casting the same one. I could go on, but not going to bother. Enjoy Vanilla, if that is what you prefer. I’m not a fan of some things in TBC either, but it’s still a definite improvement over Vanilla-Beta WoW in almost every core respect.
go back 17 years back in time and tell them do do it better!
Even on a pve server, and one that is hard in Horde population, I can still find world pvp. It’s not as organic as just running across someone like on a pvp server, but it’s still very much there.
I just got done killing and camping a guy at the stadium. He spirit ress’d and now here I am on the forums.
Just wait till you’re trying to get attuned for SSC/TK and can’t find anyone for those heroics. Not even guildies will help.
Maybe one or 2 right points in the entire complaint letter.
The actual act of pvp is way more fun in BC than vanilla thank to resilience and some other changes. The vanilla’s 1 shot pvp style and all the forever CCs + engineering, alchemy crap were totally boring n stupid.
Classes and specs feel much smoother and on top of it no batching. Raidlogging is a good thing in my opinion. I don’t wanna be forced to do gated content and fall behind like retail does it… I wanna be complete and do what I want to do until next raid.
rag has also been out for 16 years. none of this is hard, wow today is just following a guide.
