For one, it’s disabled wherever flying isn’t allowed.

Because it’s flight and flying is disabled in battlegrounds.

I simply pick up the flag and fly away.

I am a staunch advocate of Soar acting like dragonriding, and Dracthyr getting a Flying Wild kind of normal skill. I have made hundreds of posts on it between this character and my original forum character. I say this because even I think Soar in a battleground is an awful idea. Or any PvP scenario, really. Too much of an advantage against those who would not have it.

You can prvent it being used for a FC just like certain spells already are .

Yet Druids can use flap …

Flap is just slow fall, that is not flight.

Jumping off the high point at TP with flap sure covers almost half the map…

Imagine having Soar in AV…, you can fly over half the map . Amazing . Be like paratrooper units

As cool as it would be, it makes perfect sense why Dracthyr can’t use it in PvP. It would be especially annoying in arenas when matches essentially become who can stay in the air the longest to avoid being attacked. Imagine pillar-hugging but worse.

That is not even close to the same thing as soar and priest, mages, DH AND Evokers can do that.

It would be used only for unrated , jsut liek gliders , pots etc
