The last time i played a priest was in TBC, but i honestly don’t recall it being so sparkly. Everything is just sparkles and it’s annoying. I’m not an eight year old girl, i don’t need everything to sparkle.
Is there a way to dial that back or better yet, disable it entirely? I really, really miss the old holy spell effects.
You can turn down particle density in settings. Otherwise, no.
More sparkles! I want to be the sparkliest sparkle princess where when people get heal by me, they know it’s from me because the sparkles blind them (and the they die cuz the couldn’t see to move out of stuff on the ground, and that’s when I blame it on the resto druid).
Same for Shadow. We used to be just a purple silhouette.
Then in BFA they turned us into a cloud all the time and I hate it.
As a Holy Priest I wish I had more sparkles so that people don’t notice that all I can do is healing and bring no utility nor damage to the group.
I like the sparkles and feeling like a princess personally lol. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea though. I still hate how shadow has tentacles now. Much preferred the ravens and orbs oh and the glyph that gave shadow wings when using devouring plague.
The sparkles are the only part of this class that actually brings me joy these days
I like the sparkles. They get a lot right with priests visually imo, the one thing they’re getting wrong is Shadow with the tentacles and stuff.
But for holy and disc? Give me all the sparkles.

Well, it’s too much sparkle for me, so i think i’m going to have to park this toon for… well, forever if they don’t give us an option to dial back this silly sparkle nonsense.
If you don’t like the sparkles you should 100% stop playing priest. It’s pretty much the only reason most priest players keep sticking to this undertuned class.
If you play druid and don’t like our visuals there’s literally no reason to continue with this class, as rdruid is far better than both priest healing specs. And so far that doesn’t seem to be changing in Shadowlands (hopefully we’ll see some other tweaks).
I love my resto druid, but i thought i’d branch out into the other healing classes just to avoid the looming burnout on only playing resto druid.
Play paladin.
