Yeah I’m not a big fan of how Blizz handled this entire High Elf thing by mixing it up with Void Elves. I like my Void Elves as it is, and it feels weird seeing a High Elf-like Void Elf in the starting screen so I’m reconsidering whether I want to give my Velf Mage the high-elf customizations.
Should’ve just done the Pandaren route where your starting zone is pre-WC3 (or even WC2) Silvermoon and after your intro chain, you’re back in the current timeline and you have to make a choice between rebuildling Silvermoon or migrating to Stormwind.

Confession time, I’m not actually very good at disagreeing with random people in person, so this topic is kinda nice to work on those muscles with. Especially as it’s just a stupid little squabble over pixels and not any topic where there’s any sort of actual harm that will come to anyone for not getting their way, because I get a lot more charged in those cases.

If the original poster wants a real answer on why there is so much hate on high elves. Just look at the dude with most posts in this thread and you’ll see why.
What can I say, I make a horrible nerd as I tend not to get quite passionate enough to go all nerd ragey for the most part.
It’s a game, the worst that can happen is we stop playing, there’s no actual stakes really, so why get upset at that. I know there’s a ton of reasons to want them and to oppose them. I have my reasons, and it kinda sucks that there’s a lot of people who I get along with great who do want them and we can’t both have what we want. No one’s wrong for what the want here, it’s just clashing sets of taste, not any sort of moral indicator.

Core races did get customization. They got their turn.

Mmmm, nah, what I’m doing is calling you out on what you believe should happen which is: “Core races should go first in customization because Blizzard said that’s what would happen (They do), Mmmm no, I’m not satisfied with what has been given to me, I believe Core races(Blood Elves), should go again and no other AR customization should happen until then because to me, core races haven’t gone first yet”.
If your only ever fall back is that people are being mean to you because they see through your hypocrisy, you don’t have an argument.
Dunno, why anyone would be using an argument over a video game as a moral indicator anyways. It really can’t be used in that way. And people who do are probably displaying a lot of immaturity. People disagree and people agree.
I’m just going by what Blizzard said and Lann wanted, for core races to “go first”, and they did.
So I’m now greedy for waiting my turn in the future AR pass because I disagree with Lann wanting to halt player customization because he’s dissatisfied?
