Why so many streamers are hypocrites? about pvp?

Like that cdew guy?

he says BfA pvp sucks because pve items give unfair advantage…

… what does he do?

he goes and makes his own guild on classic and reserves sulfurus, legendary mace for himself. (an overpowered pve weapon)

lol.

so its only ok if HE USES THE OVERPOWERED PVE WEAPONS to crush others. i get it now.

it was never about unfair pve items or skill it just him being sad about losing a few games.

bro dew… everyone loses games homie… get over it.!

Classic is not competitive it’s just a fun version of the game that feels rewarding

People have higher standards for BfA especially arena after years

And gear is more frustrating in BfA when you factor in that counterplay is so low and punish potential too so being at gear disasvantages makes it incredibly difficult for you to win even vs worse opponnents. However even in past gear dependent xpacs you could still quite easily outplay a bad team with sick gear

Also I realistically don’t think he just elaborated well on the details on why he’s upset with BfA gearing but is having fun on Classic

Just because it’s not competitive for you doesn’t mean it’s not competitive.

Classic doesn’t have to have arena to be competitive guy.

Eye of sulfuras is ideally an enhance/Ret item. It is treated this way because warriors specifically have better options as soon as BWL comes out and Ashkandi becomes available. Enhance/Ret on the other hand won’t replace this weapon until potentially Naxx, and even then it’s debatable.

Why give the legendary 2 handed to a warrior who will just replace it as soon as Phase 3 comes out? The crafting costs are insane and doesn’t warrant doing so.

If you didn’t know (because you are not in our guild), Cdew has been to every raid, is an officer of the guild (not the guild leader), and has put forth the effort and time commitment to warrant getting the item. The server helped in putting together the server first Sulfuras alliance side, just as they helped putting together the first one horde side. Server wide contributions is something that happened in Vanilla, even without someone getting your perceived “streamer benefits” because a guild in vanilla will usually not have the Sulfuron Ingots required without helping each other out. It’s a round robin system of borrowing.

Just understand what you are talking about before you make wild accusations. Not trying to harp on you, but a lot more goes into making these items then you probably realize. It’s very much a server wide effort similar to opening AQ40.

People are just so salty :joy:

Streamers can be weird (cdew included) but I wouldn’t put this situation as anything out of the ordinary.

A consistent dude got rewarded for doing his part. The sky is falling.

That’s not at all what I meant by it not being competitive lol, I am not saying classic is not competitive for lots of people. I was meaning it has no Blizzard support in that sense, since Arenas do have AWC and whatnot. There’s a higher expectation for a mode that Blizzard has official tournaments for vs the expectations of a version of the game that does not have this at all.

As for Bolt yeah ik the duel tourney is hype, I’m mostly just meaning it’s not like competitive by Blizzard at that point

Still the initial point was that people have higher expectations for live because WoW has existed for so long, whereas Classic most are taking it for what it is. Besides even with him having some OP item like Sulfuras the thing is he can still lose to other classes 1v1 anyways, it doesn’t guarentee him to beat anyone although it can make so many MUs cheesy with a fat windfury proc

Stop trying to compare PvE items in Classic to retail. Right now, in it’s current stage, Classic is all about PvE gear.

Are there PvP items he should be using instead in Classic?

Not until phase 2 when PvP ranks get unlocked. I’m pretty sure Rank 12/13 epic gear will be a big PvP upgrade as an enhance, it has good stats but more importantly A TON of stamina. Really good for surviving burst cooldowns and turning a fight around.

Yeah, I know PvP isn’t out, yet; that was kind of my point, haha.

I just think it’s funny he’s trying to correlate the two, which I feel are pretty irrelevant to each other (Classic versus BFA). I don’t see why he wouldn’t want to go for the BiS item he can at the time, and it’s not like his viewers are probably throwing everything at him that he needs just for the small chance he will say their name or something on stream, lol.

Keep in mind guys this is a guild that demanded you participate in layering abuse. They had a channel setup dedicated to helping the “Important” guys jump layers over and over and over and over and over…

LayeringHHH <----

Having a channel to ask for layer hops, something everyone was using and apparently okay’d by blizzard, is completely different then demanding it.

If blizzard thought layer hopping was so detrimental they would of issued restrictions much sooner, and banned people for abusing it. So far the only bans i’ve heard blizzard issuing were for the dungeon resetting bosses layer glitch, and to my knowledge those people did get banned for it. Otherwise we would of seen the world first mage Joker get banned for layer hopping to aoe farm xp faster, which was 100% streamed, but we didn’t.

TLDR: Using all available tools isn’t abusing. I don’t agree with the way layering played out, but similar to CoS gear being broken why would you put yourself at a disadvantage intentionally and not use it? It’s a video game, you can set your pride aside and play.

He’s not a hypocrite, but you certainly are salty

Idk why he’s complaining his whole team abused every pve item as well including him lmao…

He’s in the move… we can actually disregard what he says.

Actually, BRE is BiS for wars but yes this is true.

It’s always about $$$, most streamers behave like an extension of Activ… Not all of them though.
