If I had to pick between dual spec, might of stormwind and chronoboon as a single ammendment to the game I would take MoS and dump the Cronoboon and Dual spec… This would’ve been the BiS for the game, but a lot will not understand the design reason for that.
Tho even better would be the above but you can only have a single world (non player class applied buff) per character just like you can only have a single flask.
I’ve realized that I’m more likely to get ganked in some random area if I have the buff, so I just go without while leveling now; still getting ran up on by 7-10+ levels above ~ in groups but not nearly as much solo ‘riding mounted, dismount, killed by skull’ without the buff.
So, that trivial buff for me is a no dawg. To each their own.

that and you couldn’t boost…I believe SoM would have been the best version of classic if the idiots didn’t release it right at the same time as TBC classic. I really enjoy shaman though wish ally could use shaman but that’ll never happen unless they restructure wow some how

I genuinely find it more enjoyable to play my bis warrior with just standard raid buffs and a few consumables (mongoose/giants elixir).
It’s fun to see what the class is capable of with gear and gameplay alone. Worldbuffs feel so inflating that it’s like a massive crutch. I can understand someone feeling like they “need” worldbuffs to have fun when their character is undergeared, but when in bis, worldbuffs are simply legitimately not necessary to clear the content. I’ve been part of more than a few Sapph and KT kills without buffs and it’s exciting for different reasons compared to when parsing.
Beyond having fun without worldbuffs and not finding them necessary, I additionally view the chore of collecting and booning buffs as just that: a chore. To me it’s not any more fun to play with them than without them. I enjoy the gameplay more when I can just log in and jump in a raid, drink a goose and charge in.
I still do boon buffs on some of my less-geared alts that are part of less-experienced raid teams just because it does help trivialize the progression, but yea I just see that as a crutch really.
If you have a character full BIS then you will know what I mean. It’s cool to see what the class is capable of without a bunch of hyper inflated stats that are temporary duration. The output one does while worldbuffed just isn’t a realistic representation of their average output in generic scenarios. Are the numbers larger and faster with them? Yea, but that’s just the buffs talking, not really the class itself.
