Maybe because there haven’t been more than 5 healthily populated servers on any version of classic in several years.

I ask for more sever but they shot that down fast… like they Want more sever issue…
Because in a week there will be a 80% drop (or more) of the population as the newness wears off.

Because dead servers make Blizz look bad.
Just merge some later if need be.

Absurdly long queues and server crashes make them look worse. First impressions and all that.

Let’s see how impressed they are when numbers are low because no one was able to play
having to merge servers later on when the game starts to die down is far better than having 400k people unable to play the game at its most exciting time.
when classic vanilla came out we had like 50 servers and they had to even open more. many died over time but having ppl free transfer and mergers after 10 months is infinitely better than not being able to play on launch simply because the 5 released NA servers are full after 2 minutes.

Don’t forget one of those servers are currently broken, Penance currently has a broken character creator. Severely deflated how excited I was to play.

I dont understand the backlash to wanting more servers. Retail has been on server blocks for years. Just connect all the servers of that type like on retail.

well professor genius if you say 9 million wants to play on 1 normal realm thats available. and ive been in query since launch stuck at 1600s says 10 mins … 2-3 normal realms yes they have 4 pvp realms thats not fair even though i think people play normal now but 2 AU servers yet here we are with just 1 normal realm
I just went with the RP server just so I can get in idc about rping but I also don’t mind it.
If retail andys were gonna leave because of having to wait in a que, they were gonna leave anyways. More servers just means we have more dead servers when all of you guys get bored. You can tell y’all never played SoM or much of classic at all.

This. Seriously. If you’re not able to wait out the queue or start playing a little bit later, chances are you’re that player that won’t stick around anyway. No loss there.
