Why so few pandas?

My guild’s GM is absolutely a pandaren nerd, nearly all of his characters are pandas. Beside him a lot of people in my guild interest in pandas too. They’re fat, short and silly but they’re also cute. I don’t see any other reason.

Why play a Panda when you can play Dead?

Jokes aside they just don’t interest me, and mogs look weird. I’m guilty of thinking they were a joke.

The Sin’dorei have great lore behind them.

It’s just a shame that 80% of their playerbase has no idea about it.

Well, I have one of every horde race (except for the newest allied races which I haven’t unlocked yet) and one pandaren . She cares not for your disparaging panda remarks. She is the perfect pandaren size and shape! :wink:

I just don’t like their look very much. I made a male panda warrior and leveled him all the way up just for the guild achieve, but I play the mag’har warrior - just cooler.

Fem pandas are cute, for a little bit, but I like trolls and (sigh) yes even elves better.

BUT I’ve always loved their starting area and the choice you can make - I wish more races were neutral at the start.

I just play one because I think they’re downright adorable. But I’m an animal person, so that’s likely just me.
That and people generally aren’t interested in playing adorable or silly, in fact some people go as far as saying they dislike pandaren for this reason.
They either want to have a ‘sexy’ character like a scantily clad blood elf lady, or an edgy (for lack of better words) dark character like an orc death knight. And that’s just fine. To each their own.

Because they were a late addition, they’re indistinguishable on Horde vs Alliance, and their body type doesn’t appeal to most people.

The pandas have all been kidnapped and are currently being used as lounge pillows in GD Lounge :panda_face::couch_and_lamp:

Probably because they are trapped on a turtle for 12-15 levels without access to resources or faction. At least that is the reason, I haven’t created one since Mists.

Kung Fu Panda does not belong with the WoW universe. It was a lame race and class to add.
