Why siding with Saurfang is fundamentally wrong

Ahhh… another brown kisser sylvanus thread.

I think he is implying that culturally, the elves and forsaken do not fit the Horde, and are probably only in it and exist because Blizz was trying to release a 2 faction game instead of the 4 faction one they should have with the Horde (the real Horde), the Forsaken, the Night Elves, and the Alliance all as separate entities, you know, the thing that would have made total sense lore wise.

The thing is, the Forsaken don’t really have a leader that isn’t on the Neutral Evil-ish end of the alignment spectrum. I suppose if Calia Menethil were to reclaim leadership of Lordaeronian Forsaken, that could change, but without that, there really isn’t any opportunity for the Forsaken to not be a divisive presence among the Horde.

As for the Night Elves, they’re more dependent than ever on the rest of the Alliance after losing Teldrassil. They cannot afford to strike out on their own with Darkshore broken, Teldrassil destroyed, and Ashenvale firmly under Horde control. As a result, I think the most damaging thing Malfurion and Tyrande could do would be subversion – the question is, are they frustrated enough with Anduin’s inaction to do so?

I don’t follow that logic. Because no one gets to make that call. They didn’t form the Horde and they don’t get to say what that stands for or who can be apart of it. You can disagree with it and follow someone else (hence the breaking off quest lines) but that’s the only right you get.
Fake horde who wave around extreme banners of disloyalty, all in the name of a new age, are no more horde than a mole on someone’s behind.

As interesting as a 4-faction MMO would be, PvP would be an absolute crapshow, which is probably why they’ve clung to 2 factions. A 4 faction version would probably have to be full-on PvE only with no war mode option.

Anything is better than Saurfang. He would see that the whole Horde is dismantled if it was “honorable”.

Yeah yeah, I don’t have a horse in this race since BC man, so don’t pull me into it. I hate elves, all elves. I don’t like how you look. I don’t like your lore. I don’t like your characters, armors, art, nothing. But, you’re in the Horde, I get it. It’s a game is my point and none of this even matters. We don’t have a choice. Hell, we have almost no choices in WoW at all lol So, you do you. Be Horde, don’t be Horde, I don’t even care.

Well, the beginning of The Darkshore warfront for Alliance, was originally declined by Anduin, as Alliance forces were spread to thin to retake it.

But Tyrande told him off, and that she’d do it herself. And then we got the whole Night Warrior bit.

Anduins goals for the world and Alliance, will certainly conflict with the feelings of people like The Night Elves and Gilneans who lost everything to The Horde.

It’s up to Blizzard if that will be some intense and good story, or if it will be brushed under the rug and never addressed.

Elves and forsaken came later. They shouldn’t be considered “founding members” of the horde. Orc, Tauren, warspear… i’ll listen to their view on honor and what it means to be horde. The new kids on the block have way too many historical ties to humans to be trustworthy.

Awesome. Not that I care about who you like and don’t. Just don’t go claiming to be something you aren’t.

If “committing unprovoked genocide” means Horde, then I don’t want to be Horde.

Claiming I am something I am not? What are you even talking about? lol What did I claim to be besides racist towards elves?

Oh. Now we decided who “is founding members/races”, have we? Is that only due to who came when? Cause sorry- Thrall is the founder. No one else. Just because he stumbled across the trolls first and helped them- doesn’t make them any more a valid member than anyone else.

Sunwell, moonwell, fel-taint well… real character comes from within, not from some fancy pool of water you build a shrine around.

The tauren leader is Baine… the same guy that sends love letters and pieces of his body to Anduin to signify their friendship :joy:

Saurfang as stated before ditched the Horde because he’s completely suicidal and Vol’jin is dead.

It looks like the Trolls, Orcs, and Tauren have tried and failed to lead the Horde.

So you are racist against the Horde. Got it.

Again, I am not following you.

Let be me more clear. I don’t care. I don’t care about you as a player, I don’t care about the lore. I don’t care about Horde or Alliance or any of it, because it’s a game. It’s meaningless. The creators do not care about it. I do not care about it. If you really have emotions invested in it, then good for you, but I am more jaded than the forest in Pandaria, and I do not care. be in the Horde for game mechanic reasons, it’s fine by me lol

It wasn’t exactly unprovoked. Delaryn should’ve just kept quiet :innocent:

No. I’m sure you’re not.

Claims to be the Horde> Racist against other Horde members> Doesn’t stand for/believe in the same ideals that created the Horde> But claims to be one of it’s “founding races”.

Yeah…No.

If Blizzards goal was to make players debate a side like the game lore, they certaintly have succeeded.

Just like in game its Alliance v.s Horde v.s Horde.
