Why should I bother?

You don’t know what those words mean do you?

Your sub pays for server access. That’s all. Anyone can be a mythic raider. Anyone could do m+. No one is prevented by the developers from doing any content, it is up to the players to get as far as they want. And the rewards they get are scaled to the difficulty they do. It’s why mythic gear is better than lfr. It’s why m10 is better than a heroic. It’s the definition of a meritocracy.

Clearly it does not since plenty of people seem to have success just fine. If you can’t, I’d look closer to home for the common denominator.

OK, fine. A Capitalist Meritocracy.

I.E, not the WoW from Wrath that I know and love.

So you preferred when you had less ways to get gear, yet your complaint now is that you want gear.

That’s clear as mud.

I don’t know what’s wrong with easier content overall and JP/VP. Those were Wrath’s bread and butter.

There’s a huge difference between wanting easier content, and wanting easier content to give gear from top tier content.

Why not both?

I mean, that’s how Wrath retained 12m at a time for the longest time.

Because wanting easier content is somewhat reasonable, wanting top tier gear for easy content is lazy. Frankly there’s already too much of that in BFA.

I think what that poster is saying is he wants a lower content difficulty ceiling, not just easier content. Like he wants heroic to be the cap of “how hard raiding gets”. I’m conflicted. Normally, I’m all for more difficult stuff in the game, but I also hate needing 19 other “me’s” and mechanics that demand perfection from every player, because one fail from one person will wipe a raid instead of just killing that one person. I honestly can’t answer which I think is better for the game. Asmongold has plenty of times he’s said he thinks mythic should just be removed, as well as a lot of other popular wow players.

I enjoyed mage tower specifically because it was difficult content that only hinged on my personal ability and I was able to get it done in a timely manner without feeling like my time was wasted by others who make mistakes in an environment where a mistake results in complete failure.

I doubt I’d have ever used dark souls’ summon system if I knew the other players I summoned for jolly cooperation would also become liabilities where their mistakes would cost me MY shot at victory.

No, what he’s saying is heroic dungeons doesn’t give him anything useful so he has no reason to do them. That part is fine. But his logic then turns to heroic dungeons should drop epic level gear so they benefit him again. That part is dumb.
