Why server shutdown at 830

Annnnd, wtf does that have to do with my comment? This content was already created years ago and Blizzard can’t release it without screwing up.

Patches have been released on the same day for 15 years. If you schedule your raids on that night, that’s 100% your own stupidity.

Could you guys…hurry the hell up? Our raiders are leaving in 2 hours and you’re wasting our time.

please don’t reset during prime time!

you guys keep doing this and it’s screwing your raiders

Could we get some details of how this will impact the game from what we seen a few minutes ago ?

While we’re here let’s have a chat of what is an exploit and what isn’t.

A bug is bad coding on the developer’s side. IE: They make a mob with 10 health immune to all damage, and he is supposed to be killed via puzzles, etc that eventually kills him, but players find an item that can damage and kill him thus making the encounter a joke. That’s a bug.

Exploiting is taking advantage of the bug by KNOWING it’s a bug and doing it anyways. IE: It’s malicious.

NOT EXPLOITING it would be the item being able to damage him being something like a shield spike that, when the tank blocked him, just instakilled him.

However, once you discovered the shield spike could hurt him exploiting it would be passing along the message and/or rerunning the boss over and over and over for an item you wanted.

The point is, as I’ve said above, INTENT ABSOLUTELY MATTERS WHEN CLASSIFYING WHAT IS OR ISN’T AN EXPLOIT. To that extent I’ve seen no discussion about any sort of obvious bug in game right now and people talking about exploiting it.

When the EXP potion bug went live on retail everyone should have been PAINFULLY aware that it was a bug because of how the bug worked, to argue they were just naive about it would be absolute bogus for a solid 99.99% of the playerbase.

If AV is actually bugged I have seen nothing from Blizzard or other players that stated that, even if players were aware that AV was the total zergfest that it absolutely is I haven’t seen anything from Blizzard that says “This is bugged, stopped queueing for AV”. Even then trying to reach out to your entire playerbase to not touch a BG is pretty much impossible.

The AV situation is not an exploit, pure and simple and that’s because the playerbase had no idea what was going on with the situation. We can’t exploit something that we can’t reasonably ascertain is a bug and not intended. We’ve been complaining that this version of AV would be bad, and it simply was.

Blizzard has been releasing major and minor updates on Tuesdays since the game released 15 years ago. It has almost always resulted in some server instability right after a major patch. I always thought it was a bad idea to raid on Tuesdays for this exact reason.

Evidently it is a priority, as the blue states.

And what would that time be exactly ? Is it specifically your raid time or do you account for all the other guilds running raids over the 21 other hours of the day ?

“Quick Restart”, but we’re going to lock out people from logging in, because it will crash our servers, because we’re idiots who did a restart on the most heavy raid night of the week at the peak time…
OMEGALUL.

Can’t Log in still…

Blizzard just killed probably hundreds of raids. I don’t ever say this but they need to compensate for this which is 100% their fault alone due entirely to their own negligence.
